Retro Taichung

The hotel is quite new, probably a recently opened one, and the location is excellent, very close to the main street. It's easy to get around by car, and there are many restaurants nearby, so you don't have to walk far for food. All in all, a very good hotel.

Great value for money! They had a 'buy one get one free' breakfast deal, which was a shame since I was traveling alone and couldn't use both.

Too humid, above 76 degrees Fahrenheit. We had to run a dehumidifier every day. The air quality needs improvement.

The location is pretty good overall, and the price is reasonable. There's no on-site parking, and it's hard to find a spot nearby. Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. This might be due to the bathtub being in the room, making it quite damp. If water splashes out during a bath, the room carpet could easily get wet. There was also a noticeable yellow stain in the bathtub that wouldn't come off, which wasn't a great impression. I'd suggest addressing the bathtub issue, and it would greatly improve the experience!

It was just okay, but I slept pretty well.

The location is convenient, but the soundproofing is terrible. I could hear the TV from the next room, the water pipes from the shower next door, and people laughing in the hallway! My sleep quality was not good.
