This was a pretty poor experience for a hostel in Taipei. Cleanliness was extremely poor, and not just the common elevator shared with the building. The walls inside are kinda grimy, and the basement "lounge" area is probably the worst offender. The bed itself was fine, and maybe the one redeeming quality is availability of double bed in a hostel for more space. But the room layout is not very good, and the worst part is there is a shower & bathroom (separate) inside the already tiny room! Not to mention there is a sink just in the room itself. This leads to a lot of annoyance when people are using either the shower or the bathroom, especially late night / early morning. Of course they can put some notice "please refrain from using" but there is no way to ban it, which results in inconsiderate guests ruining the experience. Furthermore, the bathroom is only cleaned ONCE a day, so sometimes it is smelling of pee or something and the smell will leak into the room! Protip: Guess how every other hostel has solved this problem? Just have the bathrooms and showers be in some common area all together. Allows for easier and more frequent cleaning, better ventilation, and the sleeping quarters can be comfortable and nice. I've stayed in multiple other hostels in Taipei, London and Tokyo, and this is by far the worst, would not recommend.

Stayed their for 6days and 5nights in a all female bedroom! I love how big their basements are where you can eat and have work peacefully. Also its not that far from ximending, its like 3 mins walk!! And there’s a station nearby too connected to ximending station. If i ever to go back in taiwan, I would definitely choose this hotel again. Safe for solo female travelers ❤️ I already recommended this to my friends. Love from PH 🇵🇭
