GRAND HILAI TAIPEI

Front desk service terrible, repeating the same "answer" which was not helpful but cannot be wrong from their point of view. Just made u to the level that oh my god, leave it. Spending your time for repeating their unwrong answer. pillow cover got moist smell. swimming pool were closed 2 days  in my 4 nights stays. Asking a fork took forever,.. i mean like 30 mins after few times unanswered calls. My 4 times to stay there and terrible experience. I sincerely wish to complain the front desk which is my very rare thinking to do such thing in my 2x years travel time. Only exciting is TRE AV star stayed in the same hotel and I saw them in lobby.

staff is very nice and respond promptly. Would be recommend for business trip.

I booked a one week stay and checked out 3 days early because the hotel is simply filthy. There were stains on the bed sheets and also dirty marks on the pillow. There were also bed bugs on the sheets. After changing rooms, I found a dirty bathroom mat full of bugs and insects in the new room. This was after the daily housekeeping cleaning had come to service the room. There were 20 or thirty bugs on the bath mat and the bath mat clearly needed to be replaced but they just kept it in the room. I had originally booked this hotel because it was relatively new, but the housekeeping and management is simply horrible. There is no oversight. I sent some clothes to be washed and they came back full of little black bugs on them. The hotel washed them again and than charged me double the price. It wasn’t any better the second time around. My clothes came back with a terrible stench of dry cleaning chemicals with the black bugs still on them. I tried to get an adjustment and they would not let me checkout until I paid the full bill. They even called 3 ***** to stand in front of me while I tried to negotiate a solution. These people did not wear hotel uniform and were dressed in gray like *********. And when that didn’t work, they called the police. These people are simply not reasonable. I also got terrible food poisoning from eating at their lounge. The food is not fresh because the food is sitting there too long. I only counted 3 other people in the lounge during my 2 hours there. There were more staff in the lounge than customers and one of the staffers was clearly sick and constantly coughing the entire time I was there. As a foreign traveler, I will never stay at this hotel again. If you don’t speak mandarin, they will roll you over. And if you do speak mandarin, they probably would treat you even worse. The management at this hotel behaves like local ***** and *********. I’ve attached some photos to show just how dirty this hotel is. You can see and decide for yourself.

Great stay at Grand Hilai Taipei, I made full use of the pool this time - the last time a typhhon hit and the pool deck had to be closed duh... The Taipei Cosplay summit was taking place at the exhibition center next door, which made for interesting action

The room interior, cleanliness, and overall quietness are excellent. However, essential amenities such as a shaver come at an additional cost. I would still recommend this hotel for leisure travelers seeking comfort, but it may not be suitable for budget conscious travelers.

Affordable price with the best location next to the Expo! Lalaport department store is only in 3 minutes walk. This is my second year stay in this hotel.

I like to come there when im in Taipei. Its a good hotel and generous sized rooms. Also I need say thank you for the great check in. I arrived a bit early and could check in earlier to make fresh (unfortunately I forgot the ladies name). The Japanese room service breakfast was also decent and fast delivered. I know all need sustainable at this time, but it would be more convenient if there are shaving kit and a toothbrush in the room or the front desk would ask upon check in, if need.
