The room is a bit small but very clean. There are all amenities except in the bathroom, there is no bidet. There is also an elevator, this one is very good. The journey from Taipei Main Station is quite far. But you can walk and chill. The hotel is not difficult to find. Opposite the hotel there is also a Family Mart. The hotel near Ningxia Night Market is another very good choice. There is also a luggage storage service before check-in.

The hygienic quality of the hotels under the CHECK Group has always been very good. I have stayed at CHECK in Tainan twice, and the service is very good. However, the service quality of Taipei Express Hotel needs to be improved. Noisy, need to go to the toilet, and didn't even provide help until the guest made a request, except for the counter service staff I encountered on Saturday morning, which was nice and enthusiastic.
The sanitation of the room is very good, very clean, the room is relatively small
If you are a traveler who is very particular about sleep quality, it is not recommended to stay, because you can hear the sound of boiling water in the shower next door (or upstairs), it is very loud, and the whole room is rumbling.

Pros:
Place is conveniently located.
Bed is clean and comfortable.
Cons:
Can hear the traffic noise
Room is rather small for 4 pax
Toliet tiles looks old and the basin tap is rather stiff.

(this is a review for the CHECK inn Express Taipei Station in Datong district) An efficient, budget choice. Convenient location (convenient store across the street, and 15 minute walk from central shopping area and night market), though in a less glamorous part of town. Note that, like some places in Asia, you can NOT flush toilet paper down the toilet at this hotel. Very thin walls, can hear the tiniest drain activity next door; bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Small room; in my room with two beds, they are side by side with no room in between. Good overall cleaniness, though bathroom fixture is imperfect. Decent toiletries. Weak, unusable blow dryer. Room is equipped withinternational electric outlets. Helpful, responsive staff.

Shania one of the receptionists spoke excellent English helped us settle in and gave us any advice we needed. Great country, great people. Hotel has 3pm check in nothing earlier.
