Hotel location is very good. However cleanliness of the hotel need serious improvement. When checked in, there were mosquitoes in the room n bathroom. The toilet were so mouldy. The shower head was in such a bad condition. Is all black and mouldy.
Arrived early and a male recep don't even allow me to finish my sentence when I wanted to ask if early check in is possible with a fee of course. He just kept you can keep your luggage there, check in is at 3pm.
At about 1pm, saw that a lady was at the counter. Approached her to check if its possible to do early check in with a fee. She gladly assisted with a positive attitude unlike the first male recep we met.
Breakfast was more or less the same for 4 days.
Cleanliness of the hotel really cannot make it. On my last night, we spotted a bag between the sofa and bed. Believe it had drop into the hole between the 2 furniture by the last guest. How is it possible to even miss out that area when they are doing housekeeping?
Overall I wont stay again.

Stayed 3 nights at Hotel Midtown Richardson — overall a pleasant and convenient stay.
The location is excellent — right next to MRT Ximen Station (Exit 4) and just a short walk to Ximending shopping area. It’s also very convenient for day tours since the meeting point was just nearby.
The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom setup. However, the room itself is quite compact, with limited space for luggage. Still, it’s great value for money if you prioritize location and cleanliness.
Would definitely recommend it for travelers who want easy access to transport, food, and shopping in Taipei

You need to book this hotel for the very fact that it's super conveniently located to Ximending and mrt Ximen exit #4!!
For Klook users, please book this hotel as the guide will use mrt Ximen exit #4 as a pick up point.
The hotel has a Japanese toilet.
I opted for a city view room but I was allocated only 5th storey. oh Wells..

Rude service and no customer mindsets at all. Very poor management and bad experience. Don’t be fool by its price and location. Stay away !

I had a wonderful stay at Midtown Richardson Taipei. The location is convenient and literally right next to Ximen MRT Station, surrounded by shops, cafés, and the vibrant Ximending nightlife. The room was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was soft yet supportive. The service team was friendly and efficient and housekeeping was prompt and meticulous.
Excellent value, great comfort, and a prime location for anyone visiting Taipei
