Our stay at this hotel in Taipei was unfortunately very disappointing and far from what we expected for the price we paid. The room itself felt extremely outdated, with visibly worn walls and an overall neglected atmosphere. One of the biggest issues was the constant noise—both the air conditioning unit and the fridge were loud enough to make it difficult to relax, let alone sleep. To make matters worse, there were lights in the room that couldn’t be turned off at night, which made proper rest nearly impossible. Cleanliness was also a serious concern, as we encountered cockroaches during our stay. That alone significantly impacted our comfort and overall impression of the place. On a slightly more positive note, the location was decent. The hotel is situated near Shilin Night Market and a metro station, which made getting around relatively convenient. However, the lack of any on-site staff was another downside. There was no front desk, and check-in was handled over the phone. While the staff did respond to messages fairly quickly, it still felt inconvenient and somewhat unreliable—especially in situations where you might not have internet access or your phone battery runs out . Considering we paid just under 50€ per night (weekend price), the experience felt completely unjustified. For the level of quality provided, a price closer to 20€ per night would have been more appropriate. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Near shilin station, and shilin night market. No has hotel sign board and reception, need find the door number 59. But can check in easy by online. Door excess using password. Still quite convenient. The room wall and window curtains a bit dirty. The toilet clean and nice.

Please stay away from this property. I got assigned to room 207 and it was tiny, plus alot of wall scratches. One piece of the bathroom tile even came off while i was in the shower. However, with the price I paid, it's still reasonable up until this point. Then things got worse, the room was dusty overall, my skin felt itchy by laying on the bed, and the shower completely lacked hot water. At 8:00 AM the next day, I messaged the property via LINE reporting the lack of hot water and requesting a room change. By 1:00 PM, the chat was marked "READ" but completely ignored. Since there is no front-desk reception there, the only communication lines are LINE or local calls. I borrowed a local person's phone to call them directly. A male staff answered and said he'd send a housekeeper to check the water. However, since my valuables were inside, I had to go back to be there when she arrived. She left work around 5 or 6 PM, so I had to hurry back to catch her. It was a hassle, but I co-operated. When I got back, I called to confirm my presence. A female staff picked up but seemed completely clueless, so I had to explain the entire situation all over again. After hanging up, I chose to wait for the housekeeper in the lobby since my room was uncomfortably small. For context, my room was a mere 15-second walk from the lobby. While waiting, a woman in regular clothes walked past me (who turned out to be the housekeeper). Two minutes later, that same female staff called my phone and started aggressively ranting: "Where are you now? Didn't you say you arrived? The housekeeper has been knocking at your door so many times." Taken back by her hostile reaction, I calmly replied that I was just waiting in the lobby. She snapped, "I need you to be there RIGHT NOW, go up there right now," in a highly disrespectful tone and then we hung up. It took me literally 15 seconds to reach my room door where the housekeeper was standing. Inside, the housekeeper and a male staff that came later both subsequently went in and checked on the water, then told me they were checking the pipes upstairs, and vanished. They left me waiting cluelessly in the room for an entire 30 minutes. Having had enough, I called again. The same rude female staff answered, and this was our exact conversation:“So, what's the situation now?” I asked."Didn't they tell you to wait? They're checking the pipe," she replied with heavy annoyance."I know, but it's been 30 minutes, no one is updating me, and I have to be somewhere else," I said."Well, they just texted me and said the pipe is broken," she snapped."Okay then, so will they come and show me to the new room?" I asked."Have you packed then?" she shot back."How can I start packing when I had no idea what was going on until now?!" I answered. The reality is, I requested a room change from the start, but they were unwilling to help. Instead, they forced me to return at a specific time, made me wait for staff to check the water, and then had the audacity to talk back to me as if I should have already been packed. I held my tongue, told her I would pack, and hung up. After 10 to 15 minutes I finished packing, still no one showed up. I called her again to say I was done. She flatly replied, “Can you just add us on LINE so you can just text us with whatever.” I reminded her that I had been texting them since 8:00 AM with zero response. She casually dismissed it: “Our LINE usually gets so many messages, so we probably missed yours.” There was absolutely zero apology or accountability. I hung up, texted, and finally got a new room number. The new room was more spacious and clean, and the bed wasn't itchy at all. I can tolerate an old room if things work correctly, but this level of service is attitude is unacceptable, please, that lady needs help. Or just don’t work in this line of business, it makes your place looks bad more than it has to.

It was so difficult to check in- NO lobby. The place is in a super dark alley, just a minute metal door with lots of Chinese instructions and QR Scan code. Hello-- We elderly travelers dont have Unli WIFi we actually use the hotel s Free Wifi, And one passerby tried to assist us--dialed the number so i can speak to him--He replied haughtiiy --that he is already in bed! It took almost an hour s pleading and convincing that the Good Samaritan was able to explain our predicament to the manager by celfone ! When we entered- Lots of dirty laundry socks careless thrown around, Just a super narrow strip corridor that led to our assigned BR. NOTHING like the photo Ad in Trip.com VERY deceiving.
