The Tango Hotel Taipei Shilin Reviews

The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom's design and style were unique. The hotel facilities were complete, making it perfect for family trips or business stays. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. I'll definitely come back again.

This hotel is incredibly close to Jiantan MRT Station; it's right across the street. The soundproofing is excellent, and it's also near Shilin Night Market, which is great for late-night snacks after returning to the hotel. The only minor downside was that my request for disposable toothbrushes to be sent to the room was declined.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk across the street from Jiantan MRT Station. The front desk staff was so kind to upgrade my room, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful, and all the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming.

First time trying out this hotel. Location is fantastic- right opposite Jian Tan Mrt station (red line), 10 mins walking to Shilin night market, Carrefour, Poya. Room is clean, toilet is rather huge with bathtub and shower area, with a view. Not too sure whether the window is tinted from the outside.. but there are blinds. I do love the toilet seat.. has seat warmer, bidet. Mini bar is complimentary 😀

Hotel's location is near Shilin's market, just less than 10min walk. The Shilin's MRT station is just outside Hotel. It is very convenient. Hotel's doubled bed room is comfortable for solo traveler. The shower room is almost as big as the bed room. Very well maintained & clean. 4 bottled of 500ml mineral water were supplied daily with tea bags and soft drinks. However, the air-con was not powerful enough for hot days. Even though the Hotel is facing the MRT station, it was very quiet. Breakfast was very simple, porridge, bread, noodle/fried rice with 3 dishes, desert, simple salads, orange juice/soya and coffee.

The hotel is conveniently located, very close to Shilin Night Market and easy to find. The rooms, while compact, are fully equipped with everything you need. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and is ideal for both business travelers and short leisure stays. The service quality was also good. My only minor complaint is that the gym was a bit small, so I didn't get a chance to use it. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

This hotel is conveniently located just across the road from Jiantan MRT station exit 1. You are 1 min from the MRT station. The reception is friendly and welcoming. Though the room size is small, everything is well designed in such a way that it feel bigger as everything you need from luggage stand, mini bar, safe box is all easily accessible. Even though my room is on level 3 directly facing the MRT track, the sound proofing is so good that I don’t even hear the train passing.  The room is very clean and bed is firm and comfortable. Air coning is strong if you set it to low temperature. It worked well.  The breakfast is average.

Wonderful hotel located in a convenient area (near to shilin night market) and a walk away to the train station. Friendly staff and nice vibes all around. Will definitely stay here again next trip!

They let us check in 3h earlier and everything is great. Clean room with heated seat and bidet and balcony with a view. Very near mrt and that itself deserves 5 star. Highly highly highly recommend

The service and hygiene are both excellent. Every time I come to Taipei, I choose this hotel. The only minor drawback is that the hairdryer's power is really weak. For a girl with long hair, even though it's not super thick, it takes me half an hour to dry my hair every time! 🤣

I took a taxi back to the hotel from a visit to a nearby attraction. When disembarking from the taxi, the driver indicated that he would not accept my credit card for payment of the NT$200 fare. I did not have NT$ and the driver also refused Can/US cash. I went into the hotel and asked the staff if they could pay the fare for me and add it to my hotel bill. Initially, they were not interested in helping me. Seeing that the driver was becoming agitated, the staff eventually agreed to pay the NT$200 fare on my behalf provided that I agree to a 15% surcharge. Since I had little choice, I ended end paying NT$230 to the hotel.

The water heater is unstable, with the water temperature fluctuating between hot and cold. The WiFi signal is very poor.
