"I had a wonderful stay at Midtown Richardson Taipei. The location is convenient and literally right next to Ximen MRT Station, surrounded by shops, cafés, and the vibrant Ximending nightlife. The room was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was soft yet supportive. This is one of the best hotels I stayed in during my time in Taiwan.

The room was huge and we'll furnished, there was alot of space including a walk in wardrobe to hold all your items. The bed was comfy with a Android / YouTube TV in perfect view of the bed. The lounge is spacious with a working desk, a nice lounge area except the TV is not aligned with any couches. The boothroom is spacious and well lit. The toilet and shower are seperated but only by a clear glass door.

We stayed in this hotel many times, actually.
- i feel a but disappointed that a smaller room was assigned but at least the front desk didn’t give me the room that I asked to avoid.
-the housekeeping didn’t clean the room the second day so the next day I had to inform the staff in the lobby to make sure that the housekeeping would come to clean the room
- No bottle or a jar (for refill the water) provided in the room as they don’t provided bottles of water any more so the guests have to refill the water from the machine, located on every floor instead. The first night, I have to buy a big bottle of water from 7-11 so we have a bottle to refill more water
The front desk this time were quite nice this time , compared to the team that we met along 5 years (2017-2020 and 2023)"

"The best thing about this hotel is its location — it’s right across from Taipei Main Station (South Gate). If you need an elevator, use Exit Z4; Exit Z2 only has stairs. The reception is on the 7th floor, and there are 4 elevators that aren’t usually crowded. There’s also a water dispenser where you can refill your bottle for free.
However, the room wasn’t very clean. There was dust everywhere, and the carpet looked quite dirty. I also think there might have been some mold. Since I have asthma and allergies, it was hard for me to sleep comfortably. On the bright side, the water pressure in the bathroom was great."

"The check-in and the check-out were very fast and efficient and the team was nice and professional. The room itself was nice, well decorated in a Japanese style, and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was not very quiet and I cannot say it was toilets being flushed or a bathtub being emptied but there were, from time a very strong and rather long noise of water flowing in the pipes. I was also quite surprised that the hotel did not offer any breakfast service."

"We stayed at the Palais de Chine twice - one night before a 5 day tour and 3 nights after. We had a Superior King room on both occasions that was at a corner so we had windows on two sides. We could sit in the circular bath and look out over Taipei Main Station! We managed to leave a couple of items behind after out first stay but the hotel was able to return them to us when we stayed the second time. We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful.
Note it takes a good 10 minutes to walk through the shopping centre maze to get to / from the MRT to the airport."

"The location is very central and easy accessible to large shopping malls and 赤峰街，however I need to emphasize the lack of training for front desk staff.
Even though my room was a refurbished one ( I believe) the whole aircon system is still outdated and the worst thing is that it stopped working in the middle of the night ( for 1-2 hours).
The walls and windows are paper thin, thus you can hear your neighbors v clearly, so I had a couple fighting on the one side and another couple watching TV and laughing on the other side, all of this around midnight."

Counter staff has no smile and is not very helpful, other staff is friendly but in general very hard sell. Breakfast is just so so. I saw comments saying dinner is a must try item. - poor sound proofing (can hear kids running down the rooms, people chatting outside, opening/closing of doors)
- room not super conducive for light sleepers. E.g there is gap between the pelmet and curtain so once the sun rises, the light will shine into the room, your room will not be in the complete black-out state. Can bring an eye mask to help with this!

MMrs LeafHotel is very well maintained, as good as new even though I last stayed in 2019. Kudos to the hotel for such upkeep. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient to walk to Taipei Station and Ximending. It does not have crowded feeling despite it being so convenient.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at City Suites Main Station Taipei and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is a bit of a walk from Taipei Main Station MRT (Exit Y21 to Y1), so we recommend taking Beimen MRT instead — it’s much nearer if you walk underground from Exit Y21 to Y28.
Our first room had an aircon leaking issue, but the staff were very responsive. After we contacted them through Trip.com, they quickly arranged a room change with no fuss.
The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. There are also 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores just around the corner, which made things even more convenient.
A solid choice for a short stay in Taipei!

Close by airport rail at Taipei Main Station ( 5 mins walk) , several convenient store nearby theh hostel and you are Muslims travelling looking for halal food, fret not as there's two halal chinese restaurant right below the hostel. The common area is fully air conditioned and the amenities are complete (washing machine / dryer/ water machine so you can get hot / cold water)

GGuest UserPerhaps one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 10-15 minute walk from Ximending station, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with complimentary bottled water. I appreciated that the housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily, provided you didn’t activate the ‘do not disturb’ button.
The hotel features a unique underwater or submarine theme, which adds a fun and immersive atmosphere. I booked a room without windows, and while the lighting was somewhat dim, it created a cozy ambiance that I found quite pleasant.
The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. A thoughtful addition to the hotel is the luggage scale available for guests, allowing you to weigh your bags before checking out—definitely a great touch!
We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which I would rate a perfect 10/10! There was an impressive variety of food options, including a delightful hotpot selection.
The bathroom facilities were well-designed, with the toilet and shower room separated for added convenience. They provided complimentary body wash and shampoo, and I was pleased to see that the bed sheets were changed daily, ensuring a fresh and clean environment throughout my stay.

KKerysVery local to the main metro station and popular night markets. Lots of convenience stores around. Room was clean and a decent size (double room). Our room had universals sockets which was also nice. Our room wasn’t cleaned or replenished whilst we were there (3nights), some fresh towels/water would’ve been nice but regardless was still a nice hotel and had laundry facilities at an extra cost (1 washing machine).
We did have a window that opened but the view was just off a worn building as seen in the picture.
Overall a decent stay :)
