This hotel is a good location if you are coming to watch concert given that Taipei arena is right opposite within 1 traffic light away.
I’m surprised and happy that they allowed us to check in early and we did it via self service check in kiosk.
Hotel location is easy accessible within nearby metro and is also 2 station away from Songshan if you need to take a TRA to 九份. Surrounding with breeze mall and ikea right beside it and the best of all 7-11 mart is right in level 1 within the hotel without having you to walk all the way out if you need last minute supper or drinks.
As this is an eco friendly hotel, hence no mineral water is given but flasks are provided to fill water via their water dispenser near the lift lobby and not to forget their coffee are provided in capsule with coffee machine instead of packet.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the service, cleanliness, big room and hotel location. 😁

Great hostel! Very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms good, showers good. The free breakfast is great for a hostel (better than some hotels) - fried rice, noodles, congee, eggs, salads, orange juice, coffee, toast, etc. it gets a little busy but all the food is available until breakfast finishes. The double bunks beds are good for a couple, comfortable amount of space with AC so it stays cool, although the locker space is small for 2 people. People are really friendly here! Good common area to chill out with some socialising if you want to. Would definitely recommend this hostel. So close to the Raohe Night Market too!

Having FX Hotel Taipei many times since 2014, and it’s been interesting to watch how the property has ”evolved” due to many poorer and overpriced competing hotels in the area of Taipei. Early on, there were noticeable shortcomings, but over the years the hotel holds its own as a strong contender in the mid-range category.
The rooms are a real highlight—spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and far more practical than many competitors that lean on sparse, minimalist design. For business travelers or digital nomads, the setup makes remote work not just possible but genuinely doable.
That said, there are still areas where FX falls short. Bathroom upkeep remains a recurring issue, with mildew and mold appearing across multiple rooms I’ve stayed in. More concerning, on my most recent stay I encountered two small cockroaches in the room, which I immediately reported to the front desk. This was the first time I’ve ever come across live cockroaches in a ********* hotel—something management should address with urgency.
The laundry facilities are another letdown. While it’s convenient to have washers and dryers available for extended stays, the dryer is underpowered, taking nearly twice as long as a commercial-grade machine. In practice, it’s often more time-efficient to use a nearby laundromat instead.
All that said, FX Hotel Taipei has become a dependable and comfortable choice in its price range. With spacious rooms, practical amenities, and solid value, it remains a good option for travelers. But with better attention to cleanliness and upgraded support facilities, it could raise its standing even further among Taipei’s mid-range hotels. Check-in reception now moved to 15th floor instead of lobby area.

The hotel is located right across from the Taipei Arena, making it super easy to spot and full of character. The interior design really gives you a “worth every penny” feeling — the room is extremely spacious, and every corner is thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotel’s name, Artree, creating a little creative modern forest in the middle of Taipei City.
Every spot is beautifully styled and very Instagrammable.
The service was also exceptional — friendly smiles, fast responses, and great hospitality.
There are plenty of food options around the hotel as well, so everything you need is just steps away.
Highly recommended!

Check-in time is 3PM but we arrived at 2PM and were allowed to get the room which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff was also nice.
The room itself was spacious and clean. One of the main issues we encountered during the stay in Taiwan was lack of sound-proofing … but not at this accomodation. We could (nearly) not hear sounds from outside the room.
Located nearby are multiple convenience stores and restaurants. In terms of mobility, a big YouBike lot is located just across the street and about 5-10 minutes by foot are a MRT station and a big Bus station.
Overall this was a pleasant stay.

I had a great experience. The staff was super nice and the breakfast is also very good. The vote is located around 8 minutes by walk from the metro. There are many shops around and it’s super convenient. Loved it !! Thank you

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The staff was courteous and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The location is convenient, close to major attractions and public transport. Breakfast was varied and fresh, though the dining area could get crowded during peak hours. Overall, a great choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The location is very close to the mass transit station ”Taipei Arena” for 5mins walk. It is quite easy to travel to other attractions and restaurants.
The hotel room is good, you can see Taipei 101 building! The room is quite and comfortable. Snacks and soft drinks were provided in the room for free.
Not much choices for the breakfast but it was good enough with this hotel room price.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided cookies in the lobby. The environment was bright, clean, and comfortable, with good soundproofing. As everyone has mentioned, the toilet was high. A minor drawback was that there were only three clothes hangers in the room.

Outstanding
RRuiiruiiThe hotel just opened this year, and the rooms still have a lingering smell of renovation. I recommend waiting one to two years before visiting.
Service is lacking since it's newly opened. When I arrived at the hotel at 6:30 PM, there was no greeter or staff to assist me. I checked in on the 14th floor, but the room there had a strong renovation smell, so I moved to the 16th floor. The hallway on the 16th floor also smelled strongly of renovation, so I knew it was pointless to complain further. They added a deodorizing and dehumidifying machine to my room.
Non-alcoholic beverages and some snacks are complimentary in the in-room refrigerator. The room's decor is understated yet luxurious, and the bedding is Italian frette. Disposable toiletries need to be requested from the hotel.
Free parking is available for hotel guests, and the breakfast selection is quite extensive.

GGuest UserThis was the only hotel during my entire Taiwan trip that asked to see my entry permit. The location is convenient, right next to a subway station. Hotel service was good; room service requests were always promptly attended to. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helpful during both check-in and check-out. The breakfast buffet was decent, and the hot soup with rice noodles was delicious.

AAli AC.The staff members were excellent. They were kind and courteous, however, the state of the room I stayed in needs improvement. The wooden floor creeks whenever you walk around, the furniture looked old, worn out, and tattered.
The bathroom was surprisingly well maintained though. It's almost like you're in a separate hotel when you're in the bathroom.
TLDR; not worth the price if you're there to stay for comfort. However, location wise, it's all right.

TThe ZephyrDelightful and quaint hotel. It is a short walk from the station but you have to cross over several roads. It is pain when it rains and exiting from entrance 5 from the station means walking up a long flight of stairs. Not fun if you have alot of luggage but it's nothing a cab ride can't resolve! The bus stop is nearby and everywhere is a short hop on the bus once you figure out the routes.
Hotel is clean and service is attentive. There is always someone at the counter who'd jump out to open the main door for you (they don't have a dedicated doorman). Breakfast that many previous guests highlighted was really nice - they let you choose the cereal, cold cuts, cheese, breads and pastries, and main course the night before from an online menu and your choices are presented to you at breakfast. The breakfast was good - they even offered sparkling wine - but it was quite a struggle to eat breakfast like that every day over the period of our stay (after our first day). Unlike the run of the mill buffet that, where you can always cut down on the amount you choose to eat day to day, the breakfast served here is fixed. Would definitely suggest you choose to eat at least one breakfast at the hotel or even go for lunch / dinner at their restaurant for the experience. Quality of food is good.
We got a full bottle of wine with our room and you can enjoy more wine every evening with the bottles they generously place in bar area in front of the lifts on every floor. The hotel has a tie up with several wineries hence the wines available for happy hour.
The rooms are clean and they have lots of variety of snacks available at the lift lobby bar area together with your choice of hot beverages. We enjoyed our stay. 😊

GGuest UserLovely staff, a particular warm touch by putting an Australian flag in our room, such a warm and welcome feeling, thank you! We also love the fruit and biscuits plate. It may not cost much, however it is a wonderful gesture making guests having a home feeling. We will be back soon.

GGuest UserThe dorms were modern and clean, with comfortable beds that had privacy curtains, a personal light, and a power outlet. The bathrooms were spotless, no matter what time of day. The best part was the common area; it was a great place to meet other travelers, and the staff did an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome. I'd recommend this place to any solo traveler looking for a friendly and comfortable base to explore the city.

KKUNISANThis hotel is just a few minutes from Songjiang Nanjing Station, and you can walk under the building's eaves, which is super convenient if it rains. There are also many Japanese shops nearby, like Sukiya, CoCo Ichibanya, and Komeda Coffee, making it a great choice even for those who aren't seasoned travelers. While it's primarily smart check-in, the front desk staff speaks some Japanese and are very helpful. My room this time was a connecting room, and unfortunately, I could clearly hear coughing from the next room, which was unpleasant. It's a shame, because the TOTO Washlet in the toilet and the large bathtub were very comfortable. There's also a safe in the room.
