A nice quiet place. I liked that it was near enough to the train station (I had a bicycle) and also to the rice fields which was magical to cycle to in the early morning. @@travel_with_the_sunExcellent! I don't know where to start. Everything was perfect, what you would expect from a place to stay and feel at home with perfect clealiness and comfort. So here in addition the things that makes its special: Super friendly and helpful staff, free bicycles, 5 mins from the main station, you have three little boxes at the bathroom containing cotton swabs, dental floss and sanitary pad. The breakfast was excellent, everyone gets an egg to prepare it by your own how you like it in the kitchen, different jams/spreads, a toaster, orange juice and of course coffee and tea. Also excellent: There is cooking oil, salt and pepper and even knifes in the kitchen. It sounds strange, but these are not very common in hostels. Everything is well organised, from check-in to all infos you may need in the hostel or around the area. I met great other traveler and the hostel offers a very good environment to socialize in the common spaces.
The only tiny thing which I missed is just a towel, some hostel have it, some don't.
One of the best hostels on my travels. It is a 6/5!

GGuest UserA truly comfortable place to stay. My favorite part was the landscaping in the common areas, which created an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The only thing missing was a TV in the rooms, but perhaps that's to encourage guests to really get out and explore the beauty of Taitung.

GGuest UserPool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed.
Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door.
Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes.
2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor.
Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately.

Overall, it was acceptable.
It's close to Taitung Bus Station, a 3-minute walk from the hotel, making it convenient for travel and transportation. This trip was great!
The service from the front desk staff could be improved.

IIrvineMom820Our stay at this hotel was a mixed experience, and overall, I wouldn't consider it worth the cost.
The hotel itself is old, and the facilities feel very dated. While it boasts a large swimming pool and spa areas, they were unusable during our stay as they were running with cold water. We didnât see anyone using them. The âbeauty pool,â which was advertised as having heated water, was disappointing due to a strong sewer-like smell. Additionally, the sauna is not complimentary for hotel guests, which felt unreasonable.
The dining experience was also underwhelming. The Ă la carte food in the restaurant was below average in quality, the portions were small, and the prices were high. However, the atmosphere was pleasant, though it felt odd being the only customers at 8 p.m. On a brighter note, the breakfast was excellent. I would rate it four stars for its variety of local and aboriginal food, which was a highlight of the stay.
The timing of activities for kids was inconvenient as well. While kids could play pool and ping pong for free in the evening (after we arrived at 7 p.m.), all other activities were scheduled for late morning or early afternoon, after checkout time.
The hotelâs location is another drawback. It is far from restaurants and busy areas, making it necessary to have a car or take a taxi.
The one positive aspect of our stay was the room. We booked the premium family room/suite, which provided separate sleeping areas for parents and kidsâa feature we appreciated. However, this came at a premium price, costing 25% more. I had requested a room with a view, and the front desk clerk was accommodating, which I appreciated.
Overall, while the room and breakfast were nice, the rest of the experience didnât justify the cost or the inconvenience. I wouldnât recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to the facilities and services.

Waking up in the morning to a breath of fresh air, with sunlight gently illuminating the vast green fields and the soothing sounds of birds chirpingâitâs an instant moment of relaxation. The guesthouse is impeccably maintained, offering a peaceful and nature-filled retreat, truly a hidden paradise for relaxation.
The highlight of the stay was the coffee machine provided by the guesthouseâoffering Starbucks-quality finely ground coffee with an irresistible aroma. Enjoying a freshly brewed cup while gazing at the beautiful scenery outside made every moment of the trip feel worthwhile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with thoughtful details that showed great hospitality.
If youâre looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature, this is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Taitung. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit! đżâď¸â

SSSçŠThe boss is very nice and knows what guests need to pay attention to.
The accommodation is the best value for money and is friendly to non-smoking guests. The bathroom appliances are functioning properly and intact. The only drawback is the lack of hooks and countertop space.
There will be shared facilities on the first floor, such as water dispenser, refrigerator, and your own beverage area.
There are massage chairs etc. .

TtwinkleracI had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel.
There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because âthe hotel is closed for the dayâ. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered âbecause you don't have a Taiwan mobile numberâ. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant.
Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on.
Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another.
In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

GGuest UserWhile the facilities are new, there's considerable room for improvement in overall service. Here are a few points for consideration:
1. Before arrival, I received a call asking if I'd be okay changing from a king-bed room to two twin beds, which I agreed to. However, upon checking in, I found the room's window to be unusually small and the room quite dark. When I raised this with the front desk, they claimed I had already confirmed the change. This room clearly didn't match the photos, especially since I had specifically booked a higher-priced room. It only makes sense to switch to a two-twin-bed room if it's of a comparable price and quality. Eventually, they moved me to a quad room with a large window.
2. During check-in, when confirming payment, I was told my credit card had only been pre-authorized and not actually charged yet. However, the Trip.com app clearly showed that payment had already been made. This created a bad impression. If I had allowed the front desk to swipe my card again, I would have been double-charged. There seems to be a significant loophole in their payment management system, which could easily lead to disputes later on and should be addressed immediately.
3. In the bathroom, the shower stall only has a quarter-glass panel separating it from the sink area. After showering, the floor around the sink was completely soaked. A full glass sliding door or a shower curtain is definitely needed to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom floor during a shower.
4. I needed a late check-out because my event didn't finish until noon, and I was aware of the 200/hour charge. I informed the front desk that morning, but upon returning, I found my key card had been deactivated, and I couldn't access my room. There's clearly a communication breakdown among the internal staff.
5. Upon check-in, breakfast was an additional 100 per person. However, when I went for breakfast, no one asked for my room number, which made me wonder if non-paying guests could also dine there. Including breakfast in the room rate might prevent such misunderstandings, or they should strictly enforce payment confirmation before allowing guests to eat.
