I originally planned to stop by Zhiben just to enjoy the hot springs and stay for a night. However, upon check-in, I was informed that the hotel's hot spring pipelines were under maintenance – what a disappointment! They did offer a regular water bath as a substitute for the hot spring, which was a decent gesture. But the really unfortunate part was that the bath water seemed to have too much bleach in it; even after showering, I couldn't get rid of the smell on my body. The room facilities and size were pretty standard, nothing to write home about. The Americano at breakfast was bland and very ordinary.

Facilities: The highlight of this hotel is definitely their hydrotherapy spa, perfect for families to relax in. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, no issues there. Environment: Close to Jhihben Forest Park and the hot spring area. Service: The breakfast spread was incredibly rich and varied, and the service was exceptionally attentive.

The room was pretty good. The area isn't very big to begin with, so there aren't many top-tier hotels around. Plus, the breakfast was quite nice, especially with the local farm milk.

Overall, the hotel is generally good, especially for the spa and hot spring service. However, the hotel is quite dated and some of its facilities are quite old. The pillows in the room is very flat and hard to sleep on. For the location, the hotel is located quite far away from Zhiben Station so travelling to the resort can be quite a hassle. But the hotel does provide free shuttle service but you have to pre book beforehand.

Nice hot spring hotel with various outdoor pools. one pool is for hot spring water, which is delivered daily by truck. Very good breakfast. Local restaurants near by. By bus it's about 30 minutes to the Jhihben National Forest Recreation Area. Taitung is even closer.
