The hotel rooms are very modern and are located in the ancient town. The butler was exceptionally good, helping with luggage and providing timely travel reminders. I highly recommend it for exploring Taiyuan Ancient Town. It's a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle... I'll definitely be back again.

The facilities are excellent; even the bathroom fixtures are Kohler. The service is also superb. They provided a shuttle bus to help with pick-up and drop-off, and even helped with luggage. They also helped pick up takeout orders, and delivered a bowl of multigrain porridge in the evening—very thoughtful. The breakfast was also plentiful; the millet porridge was filling, which made me very happy.

An experience that far exceeded my expectations! The guesthouse has a superb location; just a turn out of the alley leads to the bustling streets of the ancient town, while retreating to the courtyard brings immediate tranquility. Attention to detail is evident everywhere: the mattress offers excellent support, and the toiletries have a subtle woody scent. The most unforgettable experience was the rooftop terrace, where watching the twilight bathe the green-tiled rooftops brought an instant sense of peace. I would definitely come back just for that terrace.

Changtangming Homestay is located in the ancient town of Taiyuan, very close to the South Gate, making it convenient to go anywhere. The service is very attentive, with electric carts available for shuttle service on demand. The courtyard is quiet, the facilities are excellent, and the place is clean and comfortable, especially the hot water in the shower. The breakfast is delicious, and they even provide sweet porridge and fragrant beans in the evening. I stayed for two consecutive nights and it was fantastic!

I wouldn't recommend staying at this guesthouse in winter. First, the ancient town is located in a remote area with few tourists, and it's too far from other attractions besides Jinci Temple. Second, the air conditioning wasn't heating enough, and I caught a chill after showering, resulting in a stuffy nose the next morning. Third, breakfast was inconvenient. When I arrived, the guesthouse owner asked if I wanted to book breakfast for the next day. I thought there should be breakfast options on the main street, but by 9 a.m., not a single restaurant was open, and I left the town hungry. The only redeeming quality was the excellent service from the guesthouse staff.

Cost-saving version: This family-run business has extremely poor management, but the environment is nice. If you're willing to spend a little over 700 yuan and don't mind the inconvenience, go for it. Having stayed in countless guesthouses and hotels, both domestically and internationally, this one is the most infuriating. The management is extremely lax, causing significant inconvenience to guests. Before check-in, the front desk failed to clearly indicate the parking lot, forcing us to drive around halfway around the city wall after a day's drive before finally finding the shuttle bus. Upon check-in, when we mentioned this to the front desk, they said, "Is the outside really that big? I had no idea!" We guests were expected to tell them how to point out the nearest parking lot. Later, that evening, they sent me a WeChat message saying they would send us two breakfasts to make up for the detour. I clearly stated that I needed them delivered by 7:30 am, and they assured me it was possible. However, the next morning at 7:40 am, the breakfasts still hadn't arrived. I went to the front desk and the restaurant to look for staff, but no one was there. I finally managed to contact them via WeChat. It would have been better if they hadn't sent the breakfasts at all! The most ridiculous part came later. Just like during check-in, check-out required a shuttle bus to reach the outskirts of the ancient town. The guesthouse actually told us that the gate to the nearest attraction to our parking spot wasn't open yet! They said they had to go to the attraction to check if it was open. In the end, they told us it was closed and we had to use the gate furthest from the parking lot! At our insistence, the hotel dropped us off and then took a taxi to our parking lot. Knowing the attraction gate might open late the next day, the hotel should have confirmed with us in advance, instead of prioritizing their own convenience and ignoring our needs. If they had informed us beforehand that the gate was closed, they could have easily guided us to park in a more convenient parking lot for the next day! In short, this is a poorly managed guesthouse with the worst service, wasting our time. I highly do not recommend it!

服務態度非常好，我們到達已經晚上十點了，工作人員到城門口接，客房佈置合理，衞生，入住贈送暖暖的油茶，早餐豐富營養衞生 雖是在古城裡麪但晚上非常安靜

體驗了山西古城的四合院民宿，很驚喜，管家非常熱情，衞生乾淨，設施高端，服務一流，下次還會再來
