Chateau Star River

I really have to give this hotel a bad review. The swimming pool was off-limits, even though I specifically called beforehand to confirm it would be available. When I arrived, they told me hotel guests couldn't use it because it had been outsourced. After some negotiation, the front desk staff eventually let me in, but the overall experience was very disappointing. I only booked this hotel because it was relatively close to Jinci Temple.

There was a strange smell in the morning, but breakfast was a highlight.

This was my first time staying at Taiyuan Xinghewan, and it was a fantastic experience! The front desk staff, Allen, was super nice. Check-in was quick and smooth, and he was smiling the whole time. The room was large and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. But the most memorable part was definitely Allen's service – I highly recommend him!

The room was very clean and the service was excellent. We even had a dedicated private butler, Allen. It's really close to the stadium and they offer a shuttle service, so it's a great choice if you're coming for a concert!

Absolutely amazing hotel! The environment is fantastic, and all the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, which made for an excellent stay. They even offer a shuttle service to concerts, so if you're planning to attend one, you absolutely shouldn't miss this hotel. Our trip to Taiyuan was made even better because of this hotel, and we'd definitely love to stay here again next time. Highly recommended!

After a long time, I returned to Star River Hotel, and the experience I had was astonishing and shocking. For a five-star standard hotel, the bathroom fixtures were covered in dirt and stubborn stains, the silicone seals were moldy and black, left uncleaned. The sofa was damaged and unrepaired, worse than what you'd find in a budget hotel. The toothbrush bristles fell out, leaving a mouth full of debris after brushing. The mattress was covered in hair and crumbs, which was utterly disgusting. The towels were severely damaged but still provided in the room, seemingly overlooked. Several sections of the driveway had broken paving stones, making it look like a construction site. The lobby staff, dressed in ostentatious retro attire, performed tea ceremonies for a sense of ritual, but it would be better if they put their efforts into practical matters. It's understandable for facilities to show wear and tear after many years of operation, but this clearly indicates a lack of care and management, with no standards whatsoever. This stay was incredibly disappointing. I wonder if management conducts regular checks or if they simply condone such standards. It was a complete mess.

I chose this hotel for the Steve Chou concert and was very pleased. It has a luxurious European style with river views from the window. The service was also good, the bedding was clean, and the location was excellent, right next to Wanda Plaza with plenty of good food nearby. Highly recommend~

The room was spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows. The breakfast was excellent, and Wanda Plaza is just 200 meters away. It's also not far from the high-speed rail station. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
