This hotel is very good price and clean, its location is very near to Taiyuan South Railway station. I can easily come to this hotel from Taiyuannan station by taking subway for 1 station to Xutandongjie station (Exit D1), then turn right at the road corner, then walk for 300 meters.
This hotel provides all the necessary facilities (toothbrush, hair dryer, towels, water bottle, and etc. It's very good and convenient to stay in this hotel. The staff are polite and helpful, and I really appreciate their assistance. The bed is also large size and good quality nice to sleep 💤. The shower room and toilet are also very clean. I had a great experience during my 4-day stay. I will come back to stay at this hotel again next time.

GGuest UserCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

GGuest UserWe spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

The location is super convenient, on the edge of the bustling Zhong Lou Jie area, with so many food and dining options accessible on foot. The rooms are spacious, with heated floors (a godsend in winter), and nice amenities. It’s a beautiful hotel decked out with contemporary art and was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our trip that much easier. Would definitely recommend.

GGuoposhanhezaiThis is my first time staying at this hotel during my several business trips to Taiyuan. The reason might surprise you: the other two hotels I stayed at both started breakfast at 7:30 AM, while I had an 8:00 AM meeting, which made me a bit rushed. This hotel, however, starts breakfast at 7:00 AM, a testament to the hard work of the kitchen staff who got up early.
Also, the hotel's gym, while not extensive, surprisingly had two very small dumbbells, meaning it had a few more upper-body workout machines than other hotels.
Finally, the front desk staff and the floor staff, though young, had sweet smiles and friendly attitudes, making me feel very happy.
