Staff were super friendly, free breakfast udon and an in house chef! Only con is the lights in the room that stay on with any movement makes it hard to sleep! Location a little further from the ferry system if your going to the art islands

Location of the hostel is just a stone throw away from Ritsurin Garden. Free breakfast, Udon, is a plus. To add an egg is just merely ¥100. Both dinner (¥2000) and parking ¥500 per night require order in advance.

Located next to Ritsurin garden and plenty of reasonably priced parking available opposite hostel. Owner is a very friendly guy who speaks some Chinese. Dinner was delicious and very good price and it was great fun meeting and chatting with other guests and staff over the dinner. Though there's some train rumbling sound, when it stops operating at night, all is quiet and guests are considerate so not much noise was felt from the twin room. Twin room was quite spacious with attached bath and a separate toilet and separate wash sink. So companion does not need to shower or use toilet or brush teeth. Hot water for shower needs to run for 5 mins first and there's clear indication outside the bath room so not an issue. Wifi was also good.
