RIHGA Hotel Zest Takamatsu Reviews

We booked a three persons’ room with three single beds which was shown on the trip.com website but finally one bed was a sofa bed 🙁 The car park is located at a narrow lane beside the hotel and costed ¥1200. The inconvenience area is an outdoor car park while we carriage the luggage on the raining day. Anyway the carpark staff is helpful and try her best to keep the vehicle safe. Hotels’ surrounding areas are shopping streets and nearby 栗林公園.

A very satisfying and pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient, right next to a commercial center and just a 10-15 minute walk to Takamatsu Station. The hotel service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very patient.

The room was incredibly small, and the price was ridiculously high. Perhaps the hotel has conference facilities, so many locals have to stay here. But over 600 a night for a hotel that claims to be a four-star international hotel but only offers three-star amenities is just awful. This was a terrible booking experience. Next time I'm in Takamatsu, I'll definitely choose Kenchō-dōri again. There's an intercity bus stop and a hot spring hotel nearby. We stayed two nights, which felt like throwing away 1200 yen (oops, 600 twice). I forgive myself, but the cost of this mistake was too high; my husband and I were both so disappointed. I really hope everyone avoids this hotel; it's just bad and stinks.

The advantage is that it's right next to Hyogo-cho, making dining and shopping very convenient, and bottled water is provided. The downsides are quite baffling; the toilet paper is even thinner than at other hotels, the kind that makes you worried it'll tear even after folding it multiple times.

I booked another night. The price for my original room type had gone up a lot online, so I had to switch to a slightly smaller room. The room was decent, at least there was space for my luggage, and all the other facilities were the same. Actually, it would have been cheaper to book directly at the front desk.

I booked an accessible room, and it was genuinely spacious. It's really comfortable to stay in a 35 sqm room in Japan. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, but it cleared up after I turned on the air purifier. Downside: The soundproofing isn't great. Upside: Everything else is a plus. The location is excellent. There's an airport shuttle right downstairs, which costs 1000 yen and goes directly to the airport. There are frequent services, almost hourly. Location: Whether you're going to the airport, Takamatsu Port for island hopping, or the JR station, everything is within walking distance. It's a 12-minute walk to Takamatsu Port, which was perfect for our island-hopping itinerary. Mitsukoshi department store is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and it has an LV store with plenty of stock. There are also many choices for drugstores, restaurants, and cafes. The room was cleaned daily. One time, I forgot to hang the 'please clean' sign and thought it wouldn't be done, but when I returned to the room, it felt completely refreshed, which was a lovely surprise. I forgot to take photos of the room, so I've included a picture of the beautiful blue sea and sky instead.

The front desk service was very attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the airport shuttle stop, and just a short walk to the shopping street.

This was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday. **Environment:** The location is excellent. You can catch the airport shuttle right outside. **Facilities:** The room was quite spacious. We had no problem at all opening up two large suitcases. I'm glad we stayed here on our last day.

The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to the pier, great dining options, bookstores, and banks. They also offer free luggage storage, which is a huge plus. If you plan on spending most of your time traveling within the city or hopping between islands, this hotel pretty much covers all your needs.

A very old building and tired fittings, in desperate need of a revamp. However, service is immaculate. Cleanliness is adequate for such an old building.

A nice hotel with very good location. Very close to the shopping street, many good restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel ,friendly staff . But one thing , we are not suppose to wear room slippers to eat breakfast in the morning 😅. Overall was good experience though . Nice breakfast too ! Can try !

The hotel's location is super convenient; it's a 10-minute walk to the harbor and right next to the shopping street, making dining and shopping a breeze. The room was spacious too, and the breakfast tasted pretty good – I recommend the curry rice!
