Royal Park Hotel Takamatsu

The service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. I was genuinely touched! The breakfast was also delicious.

The room was quite good, significantly better than other local hotels. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it's very well-maintained. I particularly liked the sit-down vanity table; it made getting ready much more comfortable. While there weren't any Chinese-speaking staff, a Japanese lady was diligently learning Chinese, which I found very commendable.

The room was tiny, and I was appalled to discover used slippers, a hair tie, and a thick layer of dust under the bed, clearly left by a previous guest. The pillow even had visible bloodstains that looked like they'd been washed off. Service was practically non-existent; guests had to retrieve basic amenities like toothbrushes themselves. I arrived around 9 AM for breakfast but missed out on it entirely. The only positive point was the pleasant appearance of the young lady at the front desk; everything else was truly awful. The facilities were incredibly dated, like something out of the 1980s.
