Hotel Gahn Khao Lak

I stayed during the renovation period, and there was noise from the workers. Everything else was fine though.

Great price, and the accommodation is right on the main road. I called ahead to check in early, and the staff were excellent, very smiley. The housekeeper had even turned on the air conditioning for me. The room was spacious, as was the bathtub. The bathroom water pressure was good and strong, and the shower was fantastic. The only slight issue was a faint smell in the bathroom because the water didn't drain properly; the floor wasn't sloped towards the drain. The bed was huge, and they provided plenty of pillows. However, the pillows were quite firm and dense, so if you prefer softer pillows like I do, you might need to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Breakfast was à la carte, with traditional pork congee that you could order more of, plus one glass of a brewed drink. There was also a small buffet with some Thai dishes. The food was delicious.

Great design, clean rooms, and a convenient location. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant (Michelin Guide) with delicious food.

Great stay, but the service staff was incompetent. I made a reservation for two nights, a single bed, 10 days before check-in. I arrived at the hotel around 10 PM on the day of check-in and was given a twin room. When I asked the staff, they said single beds were full and only twin beds were left. However, I had booked a single bed for another person about two or three days after me, and that person only stayed one night, while I stayed two. This shows that the staff did not prioritize bookings; the booking system for this hotel is useless. It seems to be first-come, first-served. What's the point of booking in advance then? Absolutely *******.

This hotel is excellent, I was thoroughly impressed! It was a perfect getaway. If you're ever in Khao Lak, you should definitely consider staying here.

An absolutely beautiful stay! Highly recommend! We left feeling great and came back after a few days. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean and tidy, and I especially loved the design of the place ❤️
