Great location, nice bar/hangout location with a pool and reasonable surfboard hire.

This hostel is closed! Don't Book! Took our money with no refunds. TERRIBLE! If you own this hostel, feel free to call but you should be ashamed!

Well… one year later I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Selina Tamarindo. I paid €150 for an activity that was canceled, and despite multiple diplomatic follow-ups on my part, I was never refunded. They kept my money without any justification, which is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of professionalism. Furthermore, this is the only place where I was not allowed to stay with the person I had booked with at the same time. This is a disgrace for an establishment that claims to provide quality services. Place might be nice but be careful when you give them money.

Very nice rooms and comfy beds , lots of things to do and rent with great pool and snooker table. The location is great in town close to lots of food places and bars , also great food from the hostel restaurant which is perfect before going to the beach

1 star horrible hotel it flooded knee deep in water trying to get to my room they give me the wrong room 2 times chicken screaming at 4AM the food was really overpriced not good either the staff wasn’t that good one really cool guy was helpful the A.C didn’t even work the first night so hot the bamboo in deluxe is a shin breaker and watch out for hot water because it had its own mind don’t recommend horrible

This hostel is amazing! So close to the beach plus a full bar and pool. Such an amazing staff- Diego especially is super helpful and kind. Very social vibe and a lot of fun! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any solo travel or otherwise

Cool hostel, nice pool and restaurant with good food. Adding curtains to the beds would be a good improvement. Close the beach and very nice and helpful staff. Activities going all week round. Signed to the moonlight market and it was cool. Thanks

I absolutely loved my time here. Clean, social, packed with optional activities most of which were free/included in our stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. There is a barber shop and tattoo artist on property as well as surf lessons and rentals. Some of the activities we did were: Salsa Dancing Bar Crawl ($10) Welcome Drink Pool Party Night Market Only thing I was not a fan of was the price- I think it was a little expensive BUT well worth every penny.

the best and i mean absolute best staff and vibes!! shout out to my guy ponytail/goatee, diego at the front desk and my man ivaan (who makes the worlds best spicy margaritas!!). i loved how everyone would connect and hang out in the evenings and how much fun i had every single day (currently staying in selina santa teresa north and its the exact opposite, no vibes and the staff is very unhelpful/rude). one thing i will say tho is the facilities could use a LOT of work - more cleanings in the bathrooms, some upgrades to the suites (i had a private micro and it was a windowless room with a bunk bed - no mirror, no rack to hang anything etc.) but this is definitely a management issue. overall, loved tamarindo so much! holds a special place in my heart always and forever
