Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort

The resort is beautiful, especially on the ocean side of the street. The pool at the other side is large with a swim-up bar and very pleasant. Front desk and site personnel were great. Concierge not so much. I could tell they just book with the companies they have an agreement with, without any concern for what we are looking for- they were on autopilot and just pointed to whatever was shown on their iPad. I wouldn't recommend doing the ATV forest tour through them. It was mostly farmland with some forest, and saw zero animals. The estuary mangrove tour was excellent, and I would recommend going as early as possible. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with seating overlooking the ocean. The rooms are as expected and clean. The view from the oceanfront rooms is gorgeous. No toilet paper allowed in toilets, just fyi. The restaurants on the "Boulevard" had extra-long waits for food. The servers were all pleasant but either short-staffed or highly disorganized. DO NOT TRY THEIR SUSHI restaurant. Worst sushi ever eaten in our lives. The hotel's gelataria was great and reasonably priced. The lines look long, but they are well-staffed and go fast. The Bar is good about having pitchers of water to refill water bottles, but otherwise, there isn't a dedicated water refill station. There is a liquor store near the hotel where you can buy bottled water, Gatorade, soda, etc. Location is NOT secluded but near shops and restaurants, which is what we wanted.

Beautiful property on the beach and I the Center of town. Food was great. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with our room but they quickly remedied it. I would recommend for anyone and families.

We had originally booked a different 5 star in the area and it turned out to be more like a 3 star due to maintenance and state of rooms so we cancelled that last minute and came to Diria. We were unsure initially because it is a 4 star. It turned out to be a great decision. This is a new and beautifully maintained property. Great pools, beach and helpful staff. Also right in the heart of all the activity in Tamarindo! Absolutely recommend for anyone traveling to tamarindo with our without kids. It was significantly better than the property listed as 5 star not too far from there for a similar price too.

The breakfast the pool and beach area was amazing..the room cleaning need to do a better job..the toilet need to be cleaned every day and face and hand towels need to be replaced every day ..when you asked for your room to be cleaned..other than that my stay was amazing I had a really great time..

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Tamarindo Diria. We are talking about coming back and inviting more family to join us. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are simple and clean. We relished the ocean view with incredible sunsets and the waves. The breakfest buffet is extensive and fantastic with options for all types of eaters. We loved having the restaurant literally on the beach in the open air and enjoyed not only breakfast but nearly all of our meals there where you are able to order from menus from some of the surrounding establishments. The pool complexes are beautiful too. Parking was easy and staff were incredibly helpful. The beach was the highlight of our trip withsand, warm water, beautiful views and lovely storms at times. We rented surf boards and boogie boards and had excellent service and quality. Above all, the staff of Diria were delightful and we felt very much at home. They were caring and kind, warm and welcoming.

This place came highly recommended by friends who’ve stayed there before. The grounds were beautiful, and the staff was super nice. The breakfast was really good too. We would definitely stay here again.

Arenal Manoa was spectacular - the views, the wildlife, food, pools and the hot springs. It was all laid out perfectly, everything within a few minutes walk. We had an amazing view of the volcano and jungle from our spacious room and my daughter loved the plants in the bathroom :). The hot springs were perfection - we made several visits each day. Staff was kind and attentive. One of the groundskeepers even called my daughter over to give her a beautiful flower from their trimmings. I would highly recommend the resort for anyone.
