Villa Nautilus

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Nauticus in Tamarindo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. This charming boutique hotel is perfectly located just two blocks from the beach, offering easy access while still being tucked away from the busy, more crowded parts of town. It was the ideal balance of convenience and tranquility. We traveled with our 7-year-old son, and the pool was definitely a highlight for him—he absolutely loved it and looked forward to swimming every day. What truly sets Villa Nauticus apart, though, is the hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Their knowledge of the local area is outstanding—they gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities that really enhanced our trip. The room service was excellent, and every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. Everything we could have asked for—and more—was taken care of. We would absolutely stay here again

Overpriced. Not handicap accessible or elderly user friendly. Lots of stairs, uneven terrain and furniture to maneuver around. Very inadequate lighting in the rooms (they have flashlight…), low to almost no water pressure. Soap is awful, bring your own. AC stays off during day. Hidden yet still walkable to beach and town. Quaint pool area. Lots of birds. Wonderful breakfast!!! Secure property and extremely quiet.

This place is fantastic ! 5 min to the beach and city center by walk which enables to enjoy some quietness ! Rooms are super comfortable, clean, AC, warm water,tv etc. The pool is beautiful and so relaxing ! And the owners are very welcoming and give you plenty of tips and recommendations to enjoy your stay 100%

Villa Nautilus was the perfect place for us! The location is so walkable to the beach and restaurants. There is a cool and shaded pool area to relax in midday. Breakfast was fabulous...Costa Rican, french press coffee and fresh fruit every morning more! We love smaller places and you have the opportunity to visit with other guest if you choose in the common areas, or have quiet and privacy. Also, our hosts Agelie and Laurent were both so charming and you feel very welcome in their home! Take time to visit with them if your schedule allows!

I have been to Tamarindo once before but never stayed. I definitely picked the right place at Villa Nautilus. We stayed in a downstairs room by the pool and it was perfect with AC, a small kitchen, a loft with a second bed, and everything you need. The pool and ranch area is a beautiful haven! Agelie & Laurent were the perfect hosts. Agelie booked all of our adventures for us. We saw sea turtles nesting & babies hatching! And the property is a perfect walking distance to everything and only a few minutes to the beach. I feel like I made a new friend with Agelie! We will absolutely return.

I don't have enough words to express how perfect this place was for us. We loved overlooking the pool, watching the stars at night, the comfortable bed and the most fabulous breakfasts possible. We could walk to the beach easily as well as explore Tamarindo. Thank you for your hospitality and making our time in Tamarindo spectacular. We can't wait to return. Pura Vida

My husband and I stayed at Villa Nautilus Tamarindo for 5 days and we loved it! Excellent room and services. We felt like we were at home and also well taken care of. Thank you! We’ll stay here again when we are back to Tamarindo.
