Hyatt Place Tampa Airport

the hotel looked great on the internet. My wife and i (senior citizens) and handicapped) arrived late afternoon after driving 4.5 hours. The hotel is being renovated. unable to park in front of the hotel because of construction we had to park in the back near a dumpster. the parking lot was filled with construction debris. the back door led to a makeshift check in desk. I would have left but we were exhausted from our road trip. We checked in and proceeded to the elevator nad construction workers were in and out carrying construction demolition debris in and out of the elevators. We were very disappointed in the mess and decided to stay because we had medical appointment the next morning.. I fell we should have been notified about the major construction when we booked the room which cost $293 for 2 nights.. In the day the construction noise was annoying. . What a mistake staying at this hotel.. This was the worst 2 day hotel stay ever. I feel that i should be compensated with a refund.

Overall that was a very decent stay at hyatt. And the service is acceptable.

The room was great, perfect for family, staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The only bad part was our transport from airport, the hotel sent 2 Ubers - there was 4 adults and I child plus luggage which was fine but the one uber driver was incredibly rude - he locked his doors and only put his window down an inch and kept saying he didn’t have room. The other uber driver was nice though and it wasn’t anything the hotel could control, they were embarrassed.

A basic airport hotel - a bit isolated but the bar offered a friendly atmosphere
