Hoshino Resorts Risonare Guam

This was our second trip as a family in Guam, the first time we had a blast staying at Hyatt Regency, in our second trip we decided to go for Hoshino resort which was highly rated and well recommended. To our disappointment as soon as we entered the hotel we noted that the beach access was closed due to undergoing construction which wasn’t announced anywhere. The room was completely outdated and not up to standard provided that we were spending 200$ per night. Breakfast quality was mediocre. One of the main attractions is the water park (supposed to be the biggest in Guam) the wave pool was under maintenance for 2 days, luckily they were able to fix it in Day 3 of our stay. Staff were mixed we had very nice people and others who should have never been in hospitality. Despite our complaint, they rejected any compromise or help with any request even late checkout they asked for 33$ per hour. I am very disappointed and hope the hotel management can take this seriously especially that this is a Japanese brand. I recommend staying somewhere else if y it ever in Guam as this was a complete waste of money.

We were welcomed by friendly staff at 5AM. Our accommodation comes with daily buffet for 4 pax and access to their waterparks. The buffet spread is great with a lot of options even for kids. Menu changes every 2 days. The hotel feels a bit old with carpeted floor. Room can be more comfortable is pillows are not too soft. We requested for additional pillows since only 1 is provided per guests. Daily make up of room is available which is awesome. Staff are the best. Special shout out to Nelson - bfast staff who made our stay extra special. Location is a bit fast from downtown. So better to get a car rental and take your dinner before heading back to the hotel. Waterpark is okay, beach is under renovation though. The side party event for hotel guests is a nice way yo end our stay.

service, the room, water park, breakfast.. everything is great:) 5 mins away from Pay-Less supermarket. You take the red shuttle around the city.

The facility is really old, but they keep it clean. You would feel like you went back in time with the decor as well. The hotel hosts lots of events within the hotel to keep the guests entertained and they served Chamorro style dinner experience every other day. The portion of the food isn’t big, but considering it’s free, it was very tasty and enjoyable. It’s on the beach front the beach is not clean, although you can kayak to the small islands in front of the resort where you can see lots of fish. Location is far from the city center, I’m so you’d have to take the shuttle bus for 30min to get to downtown, or 15min car ride. There is a super market within walking distance so if you only want to buy food, it’s doable. The breakfast buffet was good. Menu changed daily and had Western, Japanese, and a bit of Korean food. I’d recommend this hotel to families with small kids, or young group of friends on a budget.
