Camino Real Zaashila Huatulco

On the whole it was a good experience. However I have been to this hotel several times but this time the food and restaurant service really disappointed me. The beach restaurant was not coping and in two separate occasions I had to wait over 1 hour to get served. They delivered the food as it came out of the kitchen and everyone had their meals at different times. On the second occasion, I waited for an hour and a half to get served very expensive lettuce with some fish. Even though the restaurant was almost empty. The staff should be honest and tell people they cannot cope for whatever reason and let customers go somewhere else. The staff just shrugged their shoulders when I raised my request of food. Perhaps this is the time to look for other hotels in the area.

AC in Rooms is super loud. Food average - o.k. - but price very "ecxlusive" had to ask daily about towels - most of the time, towels for room collected at Pool Breakfast much more expensive than on booking confirmatoin 1.700 peso vs. 780 peso (2 Aduld + 2 Kids per day) on booking confirmation

The hotel is a bit outdated but the service in general is ok. The worst of all is the restaurant by the beach. Awful service and had to wait for one and a half hour to get my meal. Staff just very unresponsive. Food is not good and extremely expensive.

Only 4 stars because low staff, 45 mins room service, and booked with return taxi to airport with a tour taxi very expensive for 20mins ride

A nice hotel with basically its own beach. We stayed in a beachfront room and we loved the view. Our kids loved the pool and I loved that it wasn't super busy, and you could always find a lounge chair. Our room was clean and comfortable. The property has real potential but the service could be improved. Only some of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our biggest issue was with towels (and other we talked to said the same). They always seemed to be out, whether it be room towels or pool towels. On our first day we had to wait four hours for a pool towel, and I had to ask multiple times for enough room towels. Also, you get two capsules for coffee in your room and if you want more you have to get room service, or wait until the cafe opens at 9 and bring it back to your room (it should open at 7). With a bit more focus on service this place could be great. All that being said, I would stay here again.
