My partner and I stayed here following a funeral in Llandudno. I don’t know enough nice words to compliment the staff and owners sufficiently. We arrived a little early for booking in. Dogs were allowed without charge. They were able to sit with us in the bar and restaurant. They are well behaved and was good this was possible. We amused ourselves by sampling a couple out of several real ales available. We were shown to our room which was beautiful with a comfortable four poster bed and beautiful views of the coast and sea. We had meals and breakfast in the restaurant. The food was plentiful and cook to a high standard. One of the owners Gavin was very personable and nothing was too much for him. His attention to detail was exceptional and he even noticed we were buying crisps and brought our restaurant book forward so we could eat earlier. Over the road from the hotel was an are we could let our dogs run without worrying about them coming to harm…… Gavin, thank you we will come back again soon…….superb hotel for a break away.

We have been refused to check in the hotel because we travelled with 4 yr kid. This is not mentioned in the Hotel description (***********) & it seems there have been multiple such cases where people wrongly book this hotel & don’t get a refund back. There is no separate way for Hotel Guest, you need enter the bar to check in. I felt this is embarrassing for the hotel guest specially when this hotel claims it’s a 4 star hotel nor there is a waiting area/ reception counter (as per ***********) We were provided with a seating area which looked like a garrage & refused to even enter the hotel room for some time. This was completely unacceptable. We have been ill treated because of our skin tone. Generally for an Adult only hotel, it is provided clearly in the description as people don’t go read each terms & conditions in policy page of ***********. Please note I always book the hotel without providing the child detail as I don’t need a seperate bed & never been refused to check in/stay at the hotel.

We had such a lovely stay here, the room and view were just stunning. Had the best nights sleep. The staff were amazing from start to finish. Gavin and his mother in law were just lovely and so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Cant thank you guys enough for making us feel so welcome and helping to make our engagement feel that extra special. We hope to head back to stay with you very soon

The location is attractive with beautiful views. It is within a short drive of multiple towns and services, as well as beaches, mountains, and many nice walks. It is also on a main bus route if you do not drive. The pub itself is welcoming, the food is very tasty, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and good value for money. It is exceptionally dog friendly too. Next time I visit this area I will definitely stay here again.

Our rambling club (Crewe and Nantwich) came here after walking a wonderful and exceptionally scenic 8 miles from Conwy. There were about 37 of us, who had pre paid and pre ordered our meal. Service was suprisingly quick, despite us being a large group. My turkey roast was hot, plentiful and super tasty.

Average accomodation. The photos are not truly representative and the place is more tired. Room was OK but we had minimal natural light due to small window at roof level and absolutely no view. Initially unsure where to check in as no clear signage. Needed to book for dinner as gets full/busy with people staying at other locations (caravan park nearby). Breakfast was good. Ocean views from pub but not easily accessible to beach. Quiet location but out of Conwy. Bus line 5 nearby that runs every 25mins to get into Conwy.

We have just been for a meal at the Gladstone, firstly the beer tasted like it was watered down, we ordered the soup for starters Broccoli and Stilton , it came cold and looked and tasted just like coloured water. The wife ordered spaghetti bolognaise that again came cold mostly spaghetti with maybe a dessert spoon full of meat on top, she also ordered chips as a side dish and they sent French fries which were also cold. I ordered a steak which was edible but cold with about 6 chips half a tomato and a tiny few mushrooms on top of my steak. I also ordered onion rings and although cold they were about the best part of my meal. After complaining they knocked 10% off the bill. My wife left her meal as it was rubbish. We certainly won’t be going there again and I would advise people to steer clear of the place.

This is the second time my dogs & I have stayed here and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff & owners were warm, welcoming & couldn’t do enough to ensure we (my dogs & I) didn’t want for anything 😊🐾 The rooms are clean, comfortable & have everything you’d need. The bar extremely friendly, well stocked & the service is spot on! The food is yummy 😋 with plenty of choice. The beer garden is awesome with views towards the sea. Sun sets are beautiful. The location is ideal for exploring the area & with the villages of penmaenmawr & Dwygyfylchi just 5 mins walk and the beach 5 mins too, it’s brilliant. Can honestly say, I can’t fault The Gladstone in any way. And as soon as the booking system will allow, we’ll be booking again for next year!
