Vienna International Hotel in Tashkurgan

This Vienna hotel is so much more upscale than those in mainland China, with a chic French-inspired decor. The room was incredibly spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. The diffused oxygen feature gave me the best sleep I've had since arriving in southern Xinjiang. The beautiful views from the window and the hotel's excellent service were huge bonuses. We were even surprised by a rainbow, and the staff told us they see them almost every day! Truly fantastic!

Drove the Karakoram Highway and booked this hotel. It's in a great location with convenient parking, perfect for a road trip. The room was spacious, clean, and had a good view. Highly recommend.

The front desk's lovely staff upgraded me directly to a suite, and the window view was absolutely stunning! Opening the curtains revealed an incredibly beautiful panorama of cattle, sheep, wetlands, and snow-capped mountains. In the evening, we even saw the 'golden mountains' lit up by the sunset. The room was spacious and beautiful, and immaculately clean. Both bathrooms had smart toilets and a bathtub. As soon as I entered the room, soothing background music started playing automatically, which was a very pleasant surprise – a truly wonderful check-in experience!

Vienna's quality control is usually spot on, and everything else was great. My only complaint this stay was the lack of mosquito protection – I got bitten terribly! The next morning, I initially thought it was an allergic reaction, but then I checked carefully and actually found bugs in the bed (and I never even opened the window screen after checking in). Hotels should really address pest control proactively; it's a basic expectation.

Got a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. The view from the window was great, and it's pet-friendly.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in town for business. It offers great value for money, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. This time, I stayed in a ground-floor room. I initially thought about switching rooms the next day, but then I realized the ground floor has its own unique charm and convenience!

The hotel is quite upscale, with excellent and new facilities. The location is great, with restaurants right downstairs. It's about a 30-minute walk to the night market. From my room, I could see the snow-capped mountains, and I imagine the starry sky would be visible at night too. The front desk lady saw I was traveling alone and upgraded me to a suite! Absolutely amazing!

The room was great! The front desk staff even upgraded us to a mountain view room. The air quality was excellent, perfect for guests who might not be used to high altitudes. Highly recommend! The picture was taken right from the room, it's fantastic.

There are many hotels in Tashkurgan, but this one stands out. The price was excellent, under 300 [currency unit]. The breakfast was plentiful with milk tea and coffee. The young man at the front desk gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room with a view of the snow-capped mountains. The room also had ample oxygen supply. For two days, we looked out the window at the distant snow-capped mountains and nearby yaks. At night, we could occasionally hear the barking of dogs from the herders' homes 🫢. There are many restaurants near the hotel, making dining convenient. We tried clear beef noodle soup and Hunan cuisine, and both were delicious 👍. The only slight disappointment was that the hotel didn't have individual air conditioning. The central air conditioning only provided heating. The indoor temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius during the day and 24.5 to 25 degrees Celsius at night. We removed the thick duvet and only used a duvet cover, sleeping with the window open. However, the room was still stuffy, and our sleep wasn't very good for both nights.
