Mövenpick Tashkent Old City

Seeing the reviews, which seemed to be from fellow countrymen and had good ratings, I decisively booked this hotel. My actual experience was excellent. The room was spacious, bright, comfortable, cozy, and modern. After an overnight flight, I arrived at the hotel at 7 AM. They arranged early check-in for me, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable, allowing me to fully recover from my fatigue. The handmade noodles at breakfast tasted just like my mom's cooking, and the fresh and dried fruits were varied and plentiful. A special shout-out to Shahijuahon at the front desk who selflessly helped us with check-in. Also, the cleaning staff did a fantastic job tidying up the room. Just a small suggestion: if the service staff could smile a bit more, it would be absolutely perfect.

The hotel is very close to the Islamic Cultural Center, just a few hundred meters walk away. The room is new, and the bathroom is clean and hygienic. The environment is also relatively quiet.

The room was excellent. I even used their computer one evening for work, which was very convenient. I left my luggage for storage when I checked out and will be returning to stay again in a couple of days. Li Xiao at the front desk was incredibly helpful and even spoke a little Chinese, which was a nice bonus. She was very warm and welcoming.

This hotel, run by a Chinese team, is incredibly attentive and makes you feel right at home. You can even add them on WeChat for concierge service (a big thank you to Li Xiao at the front desk!). There's a convenient ATM right in the lobby. The breakfast, with its beef noodles and pickled vegetables, perfectly satisfied my Chinese palate, and there were plenty of other local specialties too. The location is absolutely fantastic – quiet yet central. It's just a 5-minute taxi ride to explore Tashkent Park for night views, large shopping malls, the most unique museum (with the oldest Quran), architectural complexes, and the Green Bazaar. We were even able to get a late checkout until 2:30 PM, which we really appreciate!

This is a fantastic hotel, newly opened and managed by a domestic hotel group. The decor is modern and grand, and the facilities are comprehensive. We particularly enjoyed the private pool (though the indoor water was a bit cold, it came with snacks). The room was spacious and comfortable, and we really appreciated that the power outlets were compatible with domestic plugs, so no adapter was needed 👍🏻. The breakfast was also excellent, with Western pastries, salads 🥗, salmon 🐟, and especially the croissants, which were perfectly crisp. The braised beef was so popular it was gone as soon as it was served 😋. There was even a Chinese chef 👨🏻🍳 making fresh noodles 🍜, which was incredibly comforting for a 'Chinese stomach' 😂. In the afternoon, there were complimentary desserts and tea in the lobby, and I got to enjoy more of those delicious croissants 👍. Housekeeping Manager Ms. Yang proactively added me on WeChat and was incredibly responsive to all my requests, even arranging a late check-out for me. The hotel's location is also great, very close to the Islamic Center, making it an easy walk after a night out.

However, there was one issue: I had booked a room in advance, but due to some document problems, I arrived two days late. When I got there, the hotel had already canceled my reservation, forcing me to rebook.

If you're visiting Tashkent for a short trip, especially with family and children, this hotel is an excellent choice: 1. **Prime Location**: The hotel boasts an absolutely fantastic location. Just a 100-200 meter walk around the corner brings you to the subway entrance. A few stops will take you directly to the Astronaut Metro Station, a popular Instagrammable spot. It's only about 0.5 kilometers north to the Grand Mosque and 2 kilometers to the city's largest shopping mall. 2. **Excellent Accommodation and Service**: The hotel's accommodation is great, and the front desk staff and restaurant staff are all incredibly nice. A standout feature is the Chinese chef who makes noodles for breakfast – my wife and daughter each had a bowl every day during our two-day stay, accompanied by a perfectly fried egg. The variety of nuts available is also impressive; there's simply too much to try! 3. **Outstanding and Thoughtful Service**: What truly deserves special, special, special, special praise is the hotel's attentive service. Our 16-month-old second child, being quite active, slipped in the bathroom in the middle of the night and showed signs of unconsciousness. Aziz, the handsome front desk manager who had already completed his shift, immediately came to our aid. He accompanied us throughout the entire process, taking us to two hospitals, and then arranging an ambulance to the government public hospital for a pediatric neurological emergency. He helped us find doctors and nurses. We didn't feel at ease until after 3 AM when the CT scan was done. He stayed with us the whole time, showing incredible care and not a single complaint. 4. **Highly Recommended**: When you come to Tashkent, stay here. It's absolutely wonderful.
