It's a good old hotel. There is Lake Shirakaba in front of you, which is suitable for walking. There was a lot of morning fog when I stayed, and it was a very nice a**osphere.

It’s been a long time since my trip to Japan. It was a great stay experience and the service was very good. The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. I spent a very pleasant night here with my family and friends. I will also recommend it to my friends.

The facility I wanted to go to was right in front of me, so it was very convenient! The facility looks old, and there were some areas that were worrisome, such as creaking and the lock being difficult to close. Above all, the view from the window of the lake side room is a resort! It was the best feeling to say! (Because it is by the lake, measures against insects indoors and outdoors are a must) Rice is gorgeous! I didn't feel like saying that, but both meals were buffet-style, simple and satisfying with Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. It would have been even better if there was a flat plate and a tray. There are large resort facilities such as playgrounds and museums nearby, but this is definitely the hotel for my family who want to run around freely. I would stay there again.

This property was purchased by the Itoen Group. The facility is very old and has a feeling of ruins, but many of the surrounding hotels have actually gone out of business, so perhaps this is unavoidable given the current customer numbers. The large communal bath is small compared to the number of rooms, so I imagine it gets very crowded on weekends. Unfortunately, there are no washlets in the toilets in the rooms. The buffet doesn't have any special ingredients. The only benefit is that you can drink as much beer and alcohol as you want. The breakfast buffet had more Japanese side dishes. This time I stayed here for skiing, so it wasn't a problem, but you can't live the resort life at this hotel. Well, it's worth the price.

This was my first time staying this season. At first, I stayed alone, but the room was so spacious that it was a waste for one person. The toilet in the room had neither a heated seat nor a washing function. I saw a shared toilet in the hallway and used that one. The toilet in the large bath was a Japanese-style toilet. I felt like I was staying in a cheap business hotel. It was small for a large bath, there were only a few washing areas, and there was no open-air bath or sauna... I didn't have a good impression. The second time, I stayed with my family and included meals. The toilet was heated and had a washing function, and the hot spring was open, so it was comfortable both morning and night. My wife said that the meals were "one of the better Itoen hotels." Personally, the daikon radish in the oden was delicious. My wife ate a mountain of crab. When I asked her, "Crab in the mountains?" she said, "It's better than a hotel near the sea." The ski drying room was also freezing with just my boots on the first day, but the second time, there were other people's equipment and the stove was on properly.

I stayed at a cheap hotel by the Itoen Group on the shores of Lake Shirakaba. The room was on the third floor of the Papillon building and had a beautiful view of Lake Shirakaba and Mt. Tateshina. When we arrived at the hotel, we encountered a shower, but the rain stopped after about 30 minutes and we saw a beautiful rainbow. The room was a Western-style room and was relatively spacious and relaxing. Dinner was buffet style, but drinks were all you can drink. There wasn't that much variety of food, but since I don't eat much, it was pretty good. I had bread for breakfast every day, so I was disappointed that there wasn't much variety of bread. Overall it was good for the price and I would like to go again.

Seriously, it's the worst. I arrived late at night, but the cicadas outside were so loud that I couldn't sleep until morning, so I complained to the front desk around 5am. I talked to the front desk, but they called the manager, and I talked to him, but it was a natural thing... so I was very particular about it. Apparently there had been complaints before about the loud cicadas, but there was no mention on the reservation site that the cicadas were noisy. I thought I would be spending time at a quiet lake, but I was fooled. This is the worst hotel group that even accepts refunds. I contacted the head office, but they said they couldn't give me a refund. What is the legal basis for non-refund? When I asked about this, I was given an incomprehensible answer, saying, ``Our company cannot handle this.'' If you can't explain the legal basis, please refund me. Everyone, spring cicadas may be noisy this time of year. The noisy room was on the first floor facing the lake.

This is a hotel from the same chain as the hotel I stayed at a few days ago. The alkaline simple hot spring bath is the best. I was satisfied with the jet bath and cascading hot spring bath. The dinner menu is extensive. After all, I'm happy to have all-you-can-drink alcohol. There's beer, wine, and even local sake, so you'll be spoiled for choice. The breakfast menu is almost the same as Suimeikan in Yudanaka. It's nice to have curry in the morning. The morning curry served with rakkyo and fukujinzuke was the best. Opposite the hotel is the shore of Lake Shirakaba, with a beautiful view. Also, the Tateshina Teddy Bear Museum is right across the street, so it's definitely recommended for families with children.

In order to evaluate this hotel, it is first necessary to understand the concept of "Itoen Hotel". Being able to provide a buffet-style accommodation with dinner and breakfast at a low price is a blessing for my family, where cost performance is a priority. Of course, we are aware that the facilities are old and difficult to use. If you don't like that, just stay at a more expensive hotel. This is my second time staying at Itoen Hotel, after Matsumoto, and compared to the last time, the food here is delicious and the rooms are larger. Cleaning of visible areas is thorough. If you dare to order a washlet in the toilet bowl. In the summer, the toilet bowl is cool and comfortable, but I don't want to imagine winter (lol).I was impressed by the climate on the shores of Lake Shirakaba, where I could sleep without air conditioning in midsummer. It was probably a sign of respect that there was a hole the size of the tip of a little finger in the screen door of the room. Due to the coronavirus situation, we were able to spend a quiet time thanks to the red flag groups not being there, but if they came back, I would probably avoid staying here...that's the kind of hotel it is.

We used this hotel as a lodging for a one-night, two-round Shinshu golf training camp (Day 1: Shiomine Country Club, Day 2: Kashima Minami Tateshina Golf Course). We have also used the Izu Ohito Hotel from the Itoen Group and found it to be a good value for money, so we made a reservation without hesitation this time as well. The area around Lake Shirakaba is a nostalgic area that I used to visit for skiing when I was young (30 years ago), but the flashiness of those days has disappeared and it has become a place with a sense of ruins. However, the hotel was bustling with many guests, regardless of the coronavirus pandemic. This time, four of us were assigned to one room each and used it luxuriously. The rooms were spacious with Japanese and Western styles! It was very comfortable! Dinner and breakfast were buffet style, but the menu was rich and all-you-can-drink, including Shinshu's specialty soba, so we were also satisfied (even better than the Ohito Hotel!). The hot spring in the large bath had good quality and good views, so there was no problem, but the changing room and bathtub were small compared to the number of people it could accommodate... At night, we didn't need air conditioning and slept soundly with the screen door!
