Best Taunton Deane District Hotels

"I booked a deluxe double room for just one night. We were very happy with our room, which was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The welcome from Reception was warm and friendly. There is parking at the hotel but this is run by NCP and costs just under £10 for a 24 hour stay. Payment is via an APP so I suggest installing that on your phone before you arrive. There is not the option to pay by cash or card at the machine. The hotel itself is very charming, with individually decorated bedrooms and a host of period features and furniture in the public rooms. We were meeting my son for dinner in a nearby restaurant for dinner so cannot comment on the Dining Room and we opted out of breakfast as we had an early lunch arranged. We did enjoy some cocktails in Brazz, where the service and quality of the drinks were appreciated."

"The hotel room space is still enough, it is convenient to set up from the city center, there are convenience stores nearby, and it is convenient to go to Taunton Railway Station. It is a good choice for short stays."

"The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating, the room is clean, when I asked for chamomile tea he asked me to get it from reception and he gave me a few, I was very grateful . Breakfast is not that great, no tomato, mushroom or hash browns to compliment the saltiness of bacon. No cold water around but still good . The location is easy to find but a bit far from the town centre, I was expecting a nearer than that."

"We stayed 1 night to break up a long journey. Excellent location right at Taunton Deane Services. Check in was quick and easy, room was large with double bed and single bed for our 9 year old. It was clean and warm perfect for us. Will definitely use again"
