The Lake Motel

This is a family-run hotel in New Zealand, with a warm and tidy layout. It has one bedroom, one living room, one bathroom and a kitchen. There is a large bed in the bedroom and a single bed in the living room. There are not many rooms, but all are very clean. The owner is very hospitable, providing bicycles for cycling, taking us to see the waterfall and sending us to the station after we checked out. The hotel is close to the lake, about a 5-minute walk, and about a 20-minute walk from the famous scenic spots. Highly recommended! Thank you, Tony. Hope to come to Taupo again next time!

Lovely place. Nice warm welcome from the hosts. Clean and tidy. Just what's need to relax. Definitely would recommend it.

Very clean. Close to the lake. Staff was very friendly. We could park our car right in front of the room door.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Cute little bungalow room with everything we needed. Owner was very friendly and recommended places to see in the area, and the local pub for dinner which was great. Close the windows in the evening or sandflies come to visit. Minor detail. Recommend this lovely spot.

The 'garden' room was tiny, but well equipt for our overnight stay. The fridge, microwave & kitchen crockery are hidden away in half a built-in wardrobe. The bathroom was spacious and in pristine condition. My wife and I had a comfortable night.

Great room, we stayed 7 nights from 26th dec to 2nd jan family of 4, 3 adults and one child and our 2 dogs. The staff were really nice and non judgemental of the breed of our dogs. We really appreciate that they allow dogs. First time we have been able to have them with us when away. It saved alot of doggy separation anxiety. So greatful we could have them with us. Super clean and cozy, with an easy-to-use kitchen, a TV, and a very comfortable bed. Great location too, close to the lake. The shower is excellent as well. Staff is very friendly.
