Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location 😀

The first stop when coming out of Auckland, the motel is very clean and in a good location, a few minutes drive from Huka Falls, less than ten minutes walk from Lake Taupo, and less than ten minutes walk from the supermarket. The proprietress and the front desk are both Chinese and very welcoming.

The room is very clean, and it is very convenient to park the car at the door. It is also convenient to go to the surrounding area. If you want to rest for a night, it is good value for money

There was a Chinese at the front desk. His name was Maggie. The service was very good. Very enthusiastic. He upgraded our room and renewed our reservation for another day. He gave us local milk and biscuits. We stayed for three nights in total. The room was very clean and quiet. You can walk to the supermarket, restaurants, and town center. It was very convenient. Then he helped us rent a car. If we picked up the car at the airport, he could take us to the airport to pick it up after get off work. Later we found that there was a car rental place in the town, which was just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Then he told us about the local attractions. He also introduced the local food. He gave us a discount card for the restaurant. He introduced the delicious dishes in the restaurant. Thank you Maggie! Your service is great. We had a great time in Taupo!

The room is a bit small and the toilet drain gets clogged when you take a shower.

The boss was very enthusiastic and even helped drive me to the station. The room is warm and clean. It looks much better than in the photos. It has complete facilities and even a kitchen. If I have to say a disadvantage, the sound insulation is not very good and the noise of cars on the road is a bit loud at night.

Great stay! Owners were very nice and welcomed with milk and cookies. Did a load of laundry for free. Daily room cleaning which included towel change, bed making and taking out of the trash. Quiet area of town and about a 10-12 min walk anywhere. My only suggestion would be to include another frying pan or another pot since there was just one. However they may not want ppl frying things due to odor. Great stay and would highly recommend

Brilliant value for money, we stayed one night before driving onto Napier. Lovely lady on reception and we were upgraded to a two bedroom room. Very, very clean, well equipped and you parked your car right outside. We stayed in unit 7 which was great. 15 minute walk down to the lake. The Pak N'Save supermarket in town was great.

This is our second year in a row staying here with friends. The units are very clean, modern and well set up. Good beds, and good shower. Electric blankets on the beds and heat pump. Highly recommend. We were really well looked after once again.

From the amazing host Maggie, through to the room fit out, comfortable beds, location and general cleanliness this place ticks all the boxes. We would certainly stay there again. Quite close to the township and no real road noise to speak of. This is clearly a well-managed and run establishment.

We loved all the little extras in the room that made it feel more like 'home' than a motel. The access bathroom was a decent size. The lounge had a single bed, very low couch and small round table so it was a bit squashed as it was set up. We had an access room that had a separate bedroom. Really lovely motel and about 10 minutes walk to restaurants.

The bed was so comfortable! Room was spacious and clean. Nice quiet units that have an older style appearance on the outside but are lovely inside. If there was a negative, it would probably be the heat pump. It looked like it needed a good clean out and the noise level was higher than usual. Having said that, it worked well and kept the room warm. Host was friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

The unit is very well presented with nice fittings and furniture, and it is spacious. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals. Very quiet location for a peaceful nights sleep in a really comfy bed. The staff are amazing - super friendly and welcoming and really helpful if you need anything. I highly recommend and will 100% stay here again when next in Taupo.
