Great lake view hotel. Viewing windows with a large field of view. The hotel has a couples cave hot spring pool and swimming pool. Great dinner at the hotel.

Booked the standard lake facing room - excellent view, right next to the lake. Room looks nicer than in pictures … could have been slightly upgraded since. Toilets a little dated but still all good. Requested for a second floor room for greater privacy. Ground floor rooms have direct access straight out to lake, but less privacy as people can walk right pass the rooms. But stairs only, no lift. Also, it would have been good to remind guests to please keep balcony door closed in evening so the midgets and flying insects don’t get in. I learnt the hard way.

The scenery of Lake Taupo is unbeatable. The lake view on the second floor is very beautiful, especially suitable for watching the sunset. The geothermal lake beach is also quite interesting. It is far from the concentrated eating area and you have to drive to get there, but the hotel's restaurant is also good. The lake trail in front of the hotel is perfect for running in the morning.

The balcony of my room faces Lake Taupo, which is very beautiful. There is a free cave hot spring to soak in, which simulates the glowworm cave, which is very interesting. The restaurant also has a lake view. Lake Taupo is really beautiful.

The lake view room has a great view. The lake is right outside the door, and birds come to look for food in the morning. It's great! Stay in a lake view room on the first floor. After all, it's a brand hotel, guaranteed.

The hotel is indeed a bit old. Because it is close to the lake, there are many flying insects in the corridor.

The environment is OK, but I really want to say that the facilities are too old. The air conditioner is very loud. The air conditioner in the next room is very loud. You can't ask them to turn off the air conditioner in winter. In addition, the refrigerator in the room is very loud. You can only turn off the power. I was very tired after driving during the day for two days, and I couldn't rest at night!

The hotel is in a good location. The facilities are a bit old. The front desk service is so-so and indifferent.

We booked two different rooms, one with lake view and one with pool view. The pool view is cheaper but the room is bigger and better. The lake view is small but very cozy and the lake is beautiful. They are both very suitable and recommended.

Staying on the first floor, the balcony door leads directly to Lake Taupo! The hotel is not big, a typical old British resort hotel style! Except for being a bit expensive, there is nothing wrong with it!
