clean and close to town. very old , looks like something out of late 80s early 90s. dated furniture, tvs in wrong position, too high for comfortable viewing. Alex Polizzi would advise to make over a unit at a time. Definitely time for a make over. parking also unallocated for each unit where a simple numbering of car parks could solve it. @$340 a night on a Taupo event weekend not great value for money.

This room was booked for a work colleague but under the bookers name, to ensure the room was paid for I went to the property to check where i was greeted by an older gentleman that then went on to "educate me" on the correct way to book rooms and to inform me that *********** was the most expensive way. When my colleague booked in later that day he called me to ask what names it was booked under and I explain it was booked under mine, at this point the older gentleman took my work colleagues phone off him and again began to "educate me" on what is right and what is wrong! He then went on to tell me that I had learnt a lot about what is right and what is wrong and I informed him that yes i had learnt a lot and one of those things was never to book there again! he then informed that he could cancel the booking and we could go somewhere else knowing fine well that everywhere else was booked. I have now made it known to all our company to not book this property due to the behaviour of this one person.

Found our room very spacious and comfortable / clean Checking in was relaxed and informative is the best motel we have stayed at on our travels Would recommend to anyone and be happy to return next time we are in this area Craig and Dee

Another wonderful stay at this excellent motel. We won't choose anywhere else our 3rd stay here on our trips to New zealand. Easy to book via email or phone .The room request was given in the deluxe spa room . Easy walk to the lake and to town. Rung to see if extra night free as Wellington flight cancelled sorted over the phone with Ron, the owner. The rooms are large and well-appointed wonderfully comfortable king size bed. Tv in lounge and bed room . The owner and family are helpful about places to eat and trips . We ended up staying 6 nights and really enjoyed it. Hoping to see you soon and will be happy to return. Keep up the wonderful work.

Our booking was cancelled while we were already standing at the reception desk. Not because of payment — we were ready to pay immediately — but due to a misunderstanding entirely caused by the accommodation. Online they repeatedly referred to a “security/bond” without explaining that this was a damage bond. This was only clarified at the very last moment. I then explicitly asked what I needed to do to resolve the situation. The response was that there was nothing to discuss, that I “was not willing to listen”, and that I should leave and look for another place. No explanation, no alternative, no attempt to resolve anything. This is not hospitality — it is rigid, unprofessional behaviour.

Thank you for a great family stay. The hosts Ron and Rachel are very friendly and helpful. Giving us advise of many attractions around Taupo. This made our stay most enjoyable. Rachel suggested to down load app Planit to help plan places to take our grandchildren. The location is excellent walking distance to cafes. One level units clean and spacious. Parking easy and close to unit. We have stayed here many times and would recommend it.
