worst hotel i’ve ever stayed at, genuinely never experienced anything like it. as two young girls staying here we genuinely felt bullied by the staff. we arrived to find buckets everywhere, as it was leaking from the ceiling on most levels. albeit we arrived after some bad weather but the disrepair the hotel was in is far from normal. the rooms had awful soundproofing, rock solid mattresses with bulbous pillows, and did not have a bin in the bedroom (just a sanitary bin in the bathroom). but don’t worry, the one upside to the room is that it comes with free pets! cockroaches. after informing reception about the infestation in our bedroom we were met with rude and dismissive attitudes, with staff lying to us about them having removed the cockroaches and cleaned the room multiple times when they had not even entered it. eventually someone did go in and ‘clean it’ just leaving one of the roaches on its back by the mirror? after telling the staff again that the cockroaches were still in our room, they began raising their voices at us — and other guests who tried to help — about the matter, dismissing us and telling us the cockroaches had been removed. we returned to our room once again to find the upside down one in the same place and the others still running around. it took over two days of chasing them to finally get the cockroaches removed. we continued to see them about afterwards but completely gave up as we were just being completely ignored by the staff. the restaurant was abysmal. a new level of low for all inclusive food; stale, cold, disgusting. fries so solid you could break your tooth on one. the restaurant staff were even worse. we sat in the outside seating with a bikini top and trousers on, as we had seen others doing so all week and at that exact time, and were called out for it, presumably just because of our chest size, which made us feel ashamed and victimised. the restaurant manager (rafael) was the most unprofessional individual i’ve ever encountered. he ran over yelling at us to cover up and spoke to us in an appalling tone. when my friend intervened as i was tearing up from the way he was yelling, he told her to ‘shut up’ as he ‘wasn’t talking to her’. when we said one of the waiters said something in spanish and pointed outside (we assumed he just meant we had to eat outside in our attire), rafael told us that we should not come to spain if we can not speak spanish. he then proceeded to argue with us only in spanish to be condescending, as we sat there anxiously waiting for him to stop shouting at us so we could leave. we went to reception as we were pretty distraught by the way he treated us, and the receptionists immediately dismissed us and told us to put a top on (people were walking past in full on bikinis). we explained that the issue was not us having to cover up as such, it was the double standard for different body types, and the manner in which rafael spoke to us. they refused to let us speak to a manager. becaus

The rooms are pretty standard fine for what you need they are clean and hotel is fairly clean Plenty of room outside for sunbathing Pool isn’t the biggest so can be quite congested at times Absolutely no entertainment provided even tho they have a bar next door that’s part of there hotel Not really anything in the hotel for kids apart from 1 pool table in the evening unless your happy to spend money at the arcades which can be quite pricey. could do with couple more things for entertainment. There’s a football pitch but unless your happy to pay €20 plus another €20 as a deposit you can’t access it. Food is average sometimes cold and bland but does the job I guess

Stayed previously about 8 years ago and was great, stayed this time an i wont be going back. POOL - got closed twice in 2 days due to adults pooping in it. AIRC0N- non existent, was ment to be but apparently broke, room was far to hot to sleep and when the bar was open for 3 days it was absolutely boiling in there. FOOD AND DRINKS- food was cold, undercooked, alot of processed food. Same breakfast everyday, no omelette or pancakes like they used to do. Not much choice, was always pizza, pasta & chips available.Puddings all had the same perfume taste. (They were amazing last time I stayed) bread stale, veg/potatoes also undercooked. Meat that wasn't ment to be processed was. Could make your own drinks mostly, cola..etc was always very very flat, juice very strong although we just added extra water to it. Had all usual AI drinks, tried to buy cocktails only to be told out of a menu of 12 they could only offer 1. ROOMS - were mostly clean but towels were not always changed every 2 days and had bird poop not cleaned off our balcony in the last 6 days we stayed. BAR-was closed the whole time we stayed apart from first 3 days ENTERTAINMENT- Was okay for kids, the mini disco, same every night, other entertainment awful, same thing and some nights was all finished by 9pm in peak season. There used to be an extra place that opened in the middle for the 2 hotels for longer entertainment but its now closed. LIFTS -out of 4 lifts, only 1 worked mostly, someone got stuck in the lift for 30 mins, kept ringing alarm bell and were ignored until they held the bell continually for 15 mins, lifts were also dirty and absolutely boiling. DISABILITY ACCESS - None existent, there was a lady trying to get round in a scooter and only ramp they had wasn't straight and couldn't get the scooter round the corner, she also couldn't do anything once food closed as that was her only access to outside of the hotel without steps. Hotel now seems to gather to mostly the Germans and some staff rude, although some waiter staff were lovely. KETTLE- Have to pay deposit an then also pay 2.50 a day to rent it. KITCHEN - there is a kitchen with microwave an hobs but absolutely nothing in it, not a spoon, cup, plate ..etc. AQUALAND - filthy, I mean algae covering the sides inside the pool, could look through the water and see algae and dirt sitting on the bottom of the pool, least 1cm deep. 2 floats for all the rides that needed it, thats it. If you went under the water with goggles, you see all the dirt floating about, once we saw this we didnt go back. Plenty of free sunbeds, hire umbrella and lockers. BEACH- nice black sand beach, not to busy, lovely couple of bars an a shop on the front. Shower there doesn't work. Hotel has free WiFi including in rooms, can be good and bad but cant moan for free. LATE ARRIVAL- theyll give you a bag with sandwich in, biscuits and fruit. Shop closes 10PM. Are not able to hire a kettle until the morning. Check out is 11am Puerto Morgan is 15 min tax

Lago taurito felt a waste of £4000. Family of 4 (2 adults, 13&15 year old teens) for 11 nights. Do not think the waterpark in the centre is part of your all inclusive because it isn’t. EVERYTHING in there is chargeable even a mat for your sun lounger. The water is so so salty it made all 4 of us come out in a major rash leaving us room bound for 2 days as it was so painful, water burns your skin and eyes. We spent 20 minutes there out of 11 days. It is always so quiet in there, no wonder why. The hotel itself was spotless, always cleaners around, room was spotless and cleaned daily. Not sure why there’s a kitchen hob in the rooms mind, could make better use of the space. Balcony’s are massive which is great. Food is AWFUL! my partner had sickness and diarrhoea and we wernt the only people saying this. It was topic of conversation amongst everyone we spoke to. I ate melon the entire holiday. I’m going home skinnier than I came (literally). Majority of the staff are so lovely and friendly although the pool bar staff are SO MISERABLE, don’t even smile. The location tbh isn’t great, it’s so out of the way and secluded your stick here unless you’re willing to spent €30+ each way on a taxi to get anywhere. The evening entertainment is shocking. So boring. Only thing we enjoyed was the lion king reenactment on Wednesday evenings. The kids shows were more entertaining. Highlight of our holiday was the sunset taurito bar down on the beach. Saleem that works there is so so nice! The beach is a lovely day out. The views are so pretty. The boat trips that you see in the excursion Shops are a load of croc. Spent nearly £400 and we didn’t see 1 dolphin/whale or flying fish. Boat was meant to stop so you could jump in and snorkel, it stopped for 4 minutes.. by the time I got undressed it had set sail again. Boat was full of sick, the ‘all inclusive’ is 1 drink and there was 1 small bowl of watermelon for everyone to share. Safe to say NEVER AGAIN!!

My advice is to avoid the hotels Lago, costa and valle, they are not what is advertised, the hotels are run down, the 4 star ones probably more like 3 stars, the 3star one is more like a two star, my daughters room had not been cleaned, chocolate stain on cushions, damaged fixtures, cockroaches, they got a new room, as the week progresses no clean towels, they just hung dirty ones back up, replaced bedding with bloodied bedding, the food is dire, the staff are rude and arrogant, the whole resort is run down and wooden decking is damaged, loose, showing signs of decay, there is so much extra I could say, just please do your self a favour and book somewhere else..it's an absolute dump

This place is horrendous we are a family of 3 and still have 5 days out of 14 to go!!! We cannot wait to return home On arrival my wife slipped on broken tiles floor outside hotel reception to cause her a severe foot injury which going to the hospital the next day they refused to see her unless we paid nearly €1000 upfront The food is absolutely disgusting and all drinks are watered down that’s if you’re lucky enough to get one as there’s always a huge que of 20 people or more!!! So far we have witnessed several fights by the pool in the daytime with no security to prevent this happening this hotel is a million per cent no go for any responsibe parent with children!!! The place should be closed down I really cannot wait to get out of here the hotel is the worst place I’ve ever visited but it’s a shame as Gran Canaria is beautiful but avoid this place at ALL COSTS!!! Also the lifts are always broken and the rooms are like something out of faulty towers!!!! OUTDATED!!!! 😡😡😡😡 DIRTY !!!!!’😡😡😡😡😡 DISGUSTING 🤢 😡😡😡😡😡

Musical night at the resort has left me severely disappointed. They've gone for Grease over Grease 2 which is far superior. Upsetting

Would not recommend, accommodation is reasonable, air con doesn’t actually work so the room is always boiling. Food is very repetitive with not that much choice. Evening ‘entertainment’ for children is the same every night. Staff are very friendly, had to pay 27 euros for a kettle to allow us to make baby formula. Water park is salt water so not very good for children, also all the slides are height restricted so literally nothing for our almost 5 year old! Arena plaza doesn’t open until 18:00 so no activities to do around the hotel in the day and you have to pay for everything, as all inclusive you would expect to be able to utilise their activities without having to pay extra. The beach near the hotel is black sand so gets extremely hot, you literally can’t walk on it without shoes on, it even melted one of our flip flops.

I would never return to this hotel. Firstly this hotel is extremely run down and dirty, the decking outside is a hazard with loose boards and holes which people were tripping over. The stage area roof is ripped along with very poor repetitive entertainment. Basic alcohol and would need to pay for anything like a cocktail. The food and drink was extremely poor. The chicken was either raw or so over cooked it wasn’t edible. There’s hardly any choice and it’s very repetitive. We were all inc yet this doesn’t include in the water park. You had to pay extra for that along with having to buy a parasol and mats for the sunbed lounge. Doesn’t feel like an all inclusive holiday. The water park itself is no good for children under 1.2m as the children are not allowed on even the smallest slide if not meeting this height leaving smaller children alone and sad separated from There party.Even worse the water is so full of salt you struggle to even swim in it and god forbid anyone got some in there mouth as you would struggle to not be sick, and even worse again the pool has algae bloom as it doesn’t seem to be cleaned properly (image attached). The facilities are poor. No cutlery no kettle unless you pay and no baby changing facilities. We felt lucky to make it out without taking ill as that was a big fear all holiday what with the food and pool water. You shouldn’t feel like this when you’ve paid for a holiday you’ve looked forward to. I would highly advise staying away from this hotel
