Como Castello Del Nero

Air conditioning not working. Staff unable to address the problem. Sad. Called and reported multiple times. Request to elevate the issue to the manager showed the manager was mia as well. Hotel not worthy of a five star rating. Eliminated from my future travels. Tuscany tourism now suspect.

The location is a dream , not far away from Florence in the Chianti Area, facilities are perfect. Rooms and the hotel are decorated with an amazing taste , it’s a country luxury experience. We had dinner at the Michelin star restaurant and we had the most incredible food ever ! Swimming pool and Spa are just perfect and are true retreat! Thanks to the amazing team .

We came here as part of a large group celebrating a 50th birthday party. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. From the moment you enter the driveway, you see the beautiful castle with all the beautiful gardens the amazing architecture, and the spectacular views of the hills, vineyards, the olive trees, the forest, and the distant villages. The grounds are beautiful with an amazing warm swimming pool, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views, and hiking and walking paths inside and outside the premises. Staff was amazing. From the friendly and so helpful front desk staff to the amazing servers in all of the restaurants we were so impressed. Gabrielle, Angelo, Tessa ,Jay, the chef and his assistant were all so friendly and helpful, willing to tell you about the history of the castle and the surroundings. Everyone else was top-notch. We even needed to get a prescription for an eye medication for one of our friends and front desk staff did everything they could to get it to our room, which they did. The food and drinks are amazing here, but pricey, what you would expect from a resort in Tuscany. The wine selection is amazing. The food both in the Michelin Star restaurant and in the normal restaurant was fabulous. Not a bad meal to be found. Breakfast was awesome with tons of fresh fruit, salads, and other baked and hot food items. I must have gained five pounds here. The rooms are perfect and large with amazing architecture. Since this is a castle, they had to work around the structure itself, and every room is completely different. Ours had a huge bathroom with a beautiful bathtub and a vanity with two huge sinks. Our bedroom was large and immaculate with a pretty view of the hills and a huge oak tree right outside our room. The spa was. amazing. We got a few treatments there, and staff and the massages were great. The steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi were all clean and top notch. We did the cooking class with the chef. We also did a truffle hunt, which is highly recommended. Our guide, Matia, and his two dogs were awesome, sharing the history of this sport. We found tons of truffles and we brought them back and the chef prepared us food using them. Delicious. This is our second COMO stay, and I would really love to see as many as possible. These are places that will leave you memories for a lifetime. Thank you COMO and COMO staff for making our stay a complete joy!!!

One of the nicest, most beautiful hotels we've ever stayed at. Add a top notch, very friendly staff that could not have been more helpful and you have a winner. Every staff member we met was delightful. We definitely recommend and would be very happy to return. It was too chilly for the pool while we were there in early November, but the pool area is lovely. The La Torre Michelin starred restaurant was wonderful, and the Pavillion, more casual restaurant, was also very good. No complaints at all. I could see that this would also be a wonderful location for a wedding---

We arrived in Italy for our first time ever for our honeymoon, and this place was incredible. Unloaded our luggage for us immediately when we arrived, has a glass of prosecco at the door (or choice of water), checked in to a double upgrade which was a bi-level loft/suite. Their bottle of wine they craft on site was waiting for us, fruit on the table with chocolates, plus we received a bottle of champagne with two glasses not even 15 minutes in. It was just unbelievable. Then views, food, and service was immaculate and just left us speechless. We couldn't have been happier.

Staying here right now and I never right reviews but had to take a moment to write one for this AMAZING hotel. I don't know what to say but I will say that I love to stay at very nice hotels and have been fortunate to stay at many and this place is the best of the best!!!! I am WOWED!!! The staff is exceptional! So kind and attentive and yet, the place does not feel stuffy at all. I spent the day in my cozy joggers because it was raining and felt totally at ease at the restaurant, etc. Spa is superb! Food is incredible! Scenery can't be beat and room is incredible! Book here now!!!

It is no surprise this hotel was just voted best in Italy. We absolutely LOVED our stay at Castello del Nero. We came here for our honeymoon and could not have asked for a better experience. We stayed in the Heritage suite which was over the top in all the best ways. Everything from food, service, and amenities are just incredible. We loved the bar, which had a very cool and cozy vibe. If you stay here please do not miss out on visiting the spa, we went for a 90 minute massage (ask for Patricia- she was amazing!) and loved hanging out in the steam room and jacuzzi before going in for our treatment. We also went truffle hunting with Matea and I would definitely say that is another must-do activity. We had the absolute best time, followed by an amazing 4 course truffle lunch. Beyond having a gorgeous property and great amenities, they also have an incredible team. Barbara from the front desk checked us in and was so helpful in showing us around the hotel. Jay from the pool was so fun to chat to and always went above and beyond to provide amazing service. Tessa from the Pavillion restaurant was the best- always making sure everything was perfect and lastly, the 2 Gabrieles from the Pavillion restaurant were always so friendly and attentive. We are literally counting down the days till we can come back to Castello del Nero! Thank you all for the best stay!x

The COMO Castello Del Nero was a relaxing and beautiful experience after several busy days in Florence. The staff was exceptionally gracious in helping us arrange transportation and nearby activities. We will definitely be back!

Great location, wonderful suite, the place is highly maintained and the staff are friendly and efficient. They took care of every detail we needed. The views of Tuscany in every direction are beautiful and serene, and the lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the vineyards is a soul-relaxing experience. We loved the big, clean swimming pool. And the Michelin-star restaurant is worth visiting.
