The staff are friendly and nice including the restaurant that is at the property (but managed by someone else). My main issue is with the misleading advertising of the room and amenities. I booked the Bure for $200 nzd/night and it was not worth the money. The management is terrible. Firstly when you arrive they tell you electricity is not available from 11am to 4pm. They advertise 24hr hot water but guess what? Due to pressure issues when the generator isn't running, my room didn't even have cold shower water from 11am-4pm . Next they say wifi available in room, guess what there is no network in any of them. The one which shows full coverage they don't give you the password for, I went back and forth with the manager over email and she did nothing. Spend your money elsewhere however not many similar options nearby (all more expensive).

Beautiful gardens, pool and welcoming staff in an ideal location 10 minute walk from sunset beach where you can snorkel in the reef just past the sea grass at this beach. It’s also perfect to watch the sunset from. Cava and music every night at the lodge. I loved my time here and slept well. Very tranquil.

Beautiful well kept grounds. Clean spacious rooms. Food was tasty and really good value. Lovely staff all on fiji time but happy to help if they can.

The hot water was a bit inconsistent and the Wi-Fi was slow, but everything else was great. The staff were very friendly, and they had a kava night with guitar playing and singing every evening. The restaurant food was also good.

I just can't recommend Maravu enough! Peace, calm, friendly staff, amazing pool and other facilities, but the best was: Kali, our dear entertainer/handyman/singer/guitar player/kava drinker and server - and now friends for life. He spotted me all alone, a bit bored, and invited me for a fruit picking walk around the property. He's just never satisfied until he notices everyone has a big smile on their faces and a belly full of food and kava, haha. My time there just wouldn't have been the same without his light and shiny presence. Thank you so much for everything!

The surrounding scenery is nice and the location is excellent, but the front desk staff are very unfriendly to Chinese people. They arbitrarily changed the rooms I booked. I booked a private room 10 days in advance, but I was given a triple room. When I asked about it, they were rude, which immediately lowered my mood. There was basically no service during my stay, and the room facilities were old and dirty!

Everything was perfect. I stayed in a shared dorm and had no complaints. Great atmosphere and even entertainment. Friendly staff, they arrange excursions and meals. Everything was easy. The only downside was transportation around the island, but that's not the hotel's fault.
