Borneo Royale Hotel

The Borneo Royal Hotel lacks cleanliness. The rooms are spacious but the carpets, walls and windows are filthy. The duvee smells of the last person that occupied the bed. Request a change always. Also If anyone intends to use their tea coffee making facilities ensure to wash all cups and saucers before using. Odd thing about this hotel they provide two cups and saucers but only one teaspoon. The hotel has an in-room dining option, the number to dial is 5. However both rooms that I stayed in didn’t have a phone. When requested for one, the reply was they will try and get a spare phone fitted in but throughout my 4 day stay, the hotel did not fulfil that request. The housekeeping is horrible, doing the most minimal work. I had to recall the housekeeping to vacuum after they had done their housekeeping rounds for the day. It has potential to be a better hotel but there is a dire need for a new housekeeping team to beef up its efficiency towards their cleaning ettiquette and some do over so the rooms don’t look so filthy and dated.

Location is good, hotel still well maintained, buffer breakfast has good view and good service, overall Its okay however the price doesnt match the hotel

Service was efficient, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Overall, a very comfortable experience with good service. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to others.

Great location, helpfull staff. Nice view. Carpet look old and not clean , at the midnight, we have problem : sink pipes broken.Overall, need maintains.

Check in but the room was not ready yet. Maybe miss communication with the housekeeping.

Maybe they need to double-check each room before guests check in. My room didn’t have a hair dryer. When I asked about it, they said it should be in the bathroom as a built-in hair dryer. However, when I told them there was no hair dryer, they simply said, “Oh, maybe it’s under maintenance.” They should also consider changing the pillows, as they could be more comfortable. And the tv also doesn’t have remote

The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Although the room felt a little dated, it was still clean and pleasant to stay in. The air conditioning was nice and cold, and the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Overall, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This price at Tawau would be better than enough, inside got shopping mall also but not much food choices and overall still okay and acceptable
