Xinyue Suying Holiday Inn (Heshun ancient town branch, Tengchong)

When I first came to 古镇, I stayed in a Airbnb that I was pretty skeptical about. My family and I decided to just walk around town in hopes of finding somewhere just at least a bit better. After an hour of walking, tired legs from going up and downhill, and lost hope, we decided to call it quits. That is, until we came across this white building on a small hill. We decided to venture up into it, and there I was hit with a shock. The foyer was nothing like the place I stayed at before. Instead of a rotting wooden table and a muggy scent, plus sticky and damp sheets, this one had a fancy marble white table, little sofas and sitting areas, even a dining table to have tea with the owner. For me, my favorite part was the little river that had live fish in it. We went into the room available for three people, and my eyes were wide open. My room was spacious and really clean, and the big bonus for me was the extremely nice bathroom. We quickly struck a deal with the owner and we were filled with excitement for the nights to come. Our first night was amazing. And so was the next and next, all the way to the end. Every morning, we woke up and went downstairs to a vast selection of delicious foods, eggs, sausages, toasts, and even homemade rice noodles, which was a definitely a staple. The staff made us feel so welcome and at home, and liked to make conversation with us. They even provided us with must-dos and all the attractions and took us out to the city for a spin and a little trip to the volcano. Over all, my experience in this Airbnb was phenomenal. Sometimes, I even had to remind myself this wasn’t a hotel. The staff, the room, the cleanliness, the service, the dry sheets and clean bathroom, didn’t just reached my expectations in this small town, it exceeded them. I highly recommend coming here for your trip because I guarantee you won’t regret it.
