Anantya in the Village

This is an excellent, clean, safe and peaceful place to stay. The concept this hotel is promoting is very nice from a cultural perspective. If more places where showcasing the traditional culture in this way, tourists from outside India would be able to learn so much about the vast knowledge traditional Tamil culture has to offer. Situated right outside the Nammalwar Temple it is possible to gain insight into what life in an Agraharam was supposed to be like. This way of life has been dismantled over time through indirect interference in the Traditional Tamil social order, so it is a very unique opportunity to experience this way of living. The food is delicious, vegetarian and healthy. The staff are helpful. Mr Shivaraj the manager is knowledgable and can assist in organising all sorts of activities as per a travelers area of interest from religious to purely recreational activities. A very special stay.

Located within a few yards of the Alwarthirunagari temple, the place has been well appointed with just the right number of rooms to create a homely feel. The staff are efficient, friendly and courteous! Menus are a nice synthesis of the familiar with the traditional in a way that may trigger nostalgia in some and entice the taste buds with new flavours in others. Ideally, one should plan to spend at least a week at Anantya in the village to fully experience the temples, and enjoy the Ainthinai landscape. Wow, what an experience! Anantya in the village is truly one of a kind. Homestay is the perfect description for this place, since it really feels like home away from home. The rooms are well appointed, each with its own unique flavour. The staff members are well trained, professional, friendly and eager to please, and the food is excellent! If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Tuticorin, Anantya in the Village should definitely be on your list. I'm already looking forward to my next visit 😊

Very good place to stay. I am a Keralite and a villager. It really felt like I had come to my own country. Not to mention the food. The children still say that they want food like that.. I am saying that not only the taste of the food but also the way it was served was so beautiful that it will never be forgotten. Similarly, unlike the modern world, it was very touching to be able to play the games of the past, that is, the games played in my youth between 1995 and 2000.. Overall, the two days were very beautiful and the children enjoyed it a lot. Thank you Anantya
