This is my second time back at An Lam and the quality has really gone downhill. There were so many mosquitoes, and the staff looked at me as if they thought I couldn't afford to pay, they were really disdainful =))) I'm so scared, please forgive me, I'm not as high-class as you guys who work there. So I guess I deserve those disdainful looks. The breakfast buffet used to be à la carte, but now it's self-service and it's not even good anymore 🥲. Honestly, it's disappointing. Even with the AC on full blast, it was still hot, and the mosquitoes were biting. I even got a nosebleed from an allergic reaction to the essential oil diffuser (maybe the staff accidentally put too much in). The second time they diffused it, it was suffocating. (Or maybe the room was smaller than my first visit, just trying to be positive). All in all, there won't be a third time 😁

This place is absolutely fantastic! They even offer yoga classes, and the environment is super comfortable. The bed is really good for sleeping, and the room is incredibly spacious. They also provide mosquito repellent, which is a nice touch. The butler service was very responsive and helpful. You can upgrade your floating breakfast from the regular buffet for a very reasonable price. The yacht is very close to the city, and it's convenient to catch a taxi to the airport. Highly recommended if you need a relaxing break in the bustling city center.

The property itself is also very large, with plenty of space to walk around, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. One of the highlights of the resort is the swimming pool. It is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful green views. Whether you want to swim, relax by the water, or simply enjoy the scenery, the pool area provides a calm and refreshing experience. The restaurant is another strong point. The food is delicious, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. Whether you are looking for local dishes or international options, there is something for everyone, and the quality of the food is consistently good. This resort is an excellent choice for many types of travelers. It is perfect for family vacations, weekend getaways with friends, company retreats, and team-building activities thanks to its spacious facilities and relaxing environment. A particularly convenient feature is the complimentary speedboat service. Guests can enjoy free round-trip transfers between the resort and both Bach Dang Pier and Binh An Pier, making transportation easy, comfortable, and part of the overall experience. Overall, this is a fantastic resort that combines comfortable accommodations, beautiful green spaces, a clean swimming pool, delicious dining options, and convenient transportation. It is an ideal place to relax, reconnect with nature, and spend quality time with family, friends, or colleagues.

The environment is great, the spa treatment is very professional, and the breakfast is delicious. The staff are professional and enthusiastic. I hope to have the chance to stay here again.

An impeccable vacation experience! The boat-only access to the resort was a unique and refreshing start. The resort facilities are excellent, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. The dinner at the restaurant was delicious; it's a pity I overslept and missed breakfast. Special thanks to my butler, Hien, for their outstanding service and assistance. I hope to visit again!

The most delightful surprise of my Vietnam trip to Ho Chi Minh City was An Lam Retreats Saigon River. Hidden away in a gentle bend of the Saigon River, it's only accessible by speedboat. The moment you arrive, everything goes quiet, and the serene ambiance of a white lotus resort gradually unfolds amidst the untouched riverside jungle. The resort has only a dozen or so suites. Our villa, guided by our butler, showcased lotus motifs everywhere. The palm leaf silhouettes reflected in the pool water, like an ink wash painting softened by water. Our butler was a quiet, capable Vietnamese woman, exuding a perfectly measured distance that brought to mind the old-world Saigon hospitality – respecting your completeness and mystery as a stranger. I awoke at dawn to the calls of unknown birds, a thin mist rising from the river, and distant fishing boats like faded brushstrokes in an ink painting. I began to understand why some people choose to stay here for months, just to wait for a monsoon, witness the changing colors of the mangrove forests, or listen to a night chorus of frogs. At sunset, the resort arranged a riverside street food dinner, making up for missing out on street food exploration during this trip. The chef served Vietnamese spring rolls; shrimp and mint wrapped in rice paper as thin as cicada wings. Dipped in a little fish sauce, the savory flavor carried a hint of the river's sweet brine. Dinner also featured a vocalist singing a few Cantonese pop songs in Vietnamese. Though I didn't understand the lyrics, in that moment, the similar rhythm and appearance served as a shared language. An Lam Retreats is like a poem steeped in water, far from the crowd, yet closer to the world; rejecting noise, yet hearing more sounds. And at a certain moment, my thoughts forever lingered by the lotus-filled pond – that's time's occasional merciful gift, an unexpected eternity found on a journey.

The environment is excellent.

The hotel's location is a bit out of the way, but they offer a free boat shuttle service to the Baitong pier in the city center (reservations required). The service attitude was absolutely fantastic, and the Chinese-speaking staff member was very nice and helpful in communicating and coordinating all our needs.

Upon arriving at the pier by speedboat, An Lam Retreats Saigon River staff were waiting to greet us with welcome fruits and drinks before check-in. The hotel itself isn't huge, but the greenery is lush and there are plenty of staff members. They also offer some complimentary activities. Since it was off-peak season in September, there weren't many children, so the 'Mini Chef' activity was essentially one-on-one. After checking in, An Lam Retreats Saigon River staff added us on WeChat for personalized service. The breakfast spread in the restaurant was quite extensive, and the Vietnamese-style dinner was also very good. An Lam Retreats Saigon River also has a bakery, which is a nice touch.

I had a wonderful time in a space surrounded by nature. The view from the room was great, and I stayed in a lovely room. The staff's smiles and courteous service were also excellent.

Nice place

This resort was excellent. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well decorated with the paneling and the tiles. It was nice to just be in the room to relax. The resort itself was super nice, very green, and well shaded. Breakfast was very good - we had à la carte one day and the following, they offered a buffet. Service was very nice - they are proactive with their communication and everyone spoke very good English. It’s a bit far from the center but they do offer free boat rides to the center or it’s just a 30 month car ride. Overall a great retreat from the hustle bustle that is HCM City. Our room was quiet so we had good night sleep and overall, this is one of the few hotels after traveling so long I will definitely return next time I come to HCM City.
