The St.Regis Tianjin

I specifically wanted to leave a glowing review for the St. Regis Tianjin! It's located right by the Hai River, and the building itself is a stunning landmark in Tianjin. The lobby is luxurious and elegant, with a grand and classic neoclassical design. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and from the higher floors, you get an incredible panoramic view of the Hai River at night – simply breathtaking. The overall ambiance is impeccable. I especially want to commend our butler, Vivian! She was attentive and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. Before we even checked in, she meticulously confirmed all our needs. She was available 24/7, handling everything from luggage storage and room replenishment to travel inquiries with utmost care and attention to detail. Any small request we mentioned offhand was promptly addressed. Her service was professional and gentle, perfectly embodying the St. Regis butler standard. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Tianjin. Highly recommended!

I've stayed here many times and have always been very satisfied, but this time I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Ela. Both rooms were arranged perfectly. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and not only did they send a cake, but the room was also decorated beautifully. I'm really happy with everything. Next time I'm in Tianjin, I'll definitely be staying at The St. Regis again.

Service: The service was excellent. The front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a better suite for free, which my family absolutely loved! 🌹 Our butler, Aiden, was always responsive to any issues we had. Even when we encountered a small problem upon checkout, he actively helped communicate and resolve it. Such service is simply irresistible. I'll definitely be coming back again and again! 😍 Cleanliness: Despite being an older hotel, it was incredibly clean. It met all my expectations for hygiene. I hope they continue to maintain their cleaning and disinfection standards so more guests can enjoy their stay. Environment: The environment was beyond words. The hotel is right by the Haihe River, and at night, you can see the entire cityscape, which is breathtaking! ❤️👍 The views are unbeatable, and getting around is super convenient. Facilities: I hope the hotel invests more in renovations and upgrades to provide an even better experience for guests. As a Trip.com Diamond member, this is the most extensive review I've ever written. I hope it helps other travelers visiting Tianjin. Their breakfast is also very good! 👍👍 This was an excellent stay, highly recommended!

I ended up staying at the St. Regis Tianjin because of a last-minute change of plans. Honestly, before checking in, I'd seen all the online reviews complaining about it being old, poor service, bad soundproofing, and so on. But I figured, how bad could it really be? It's a St. Regis, after all. Well, turns out every single complaint online was true, no one was just being malicious. The real bottom-of-the-barrel surprise came on the second day: after showering, I stepped out of the bathroom, and right by the sink, there was a loose tile on the floor. See the picture. The critical part is, I could understand if it was a new issue they hadn't noticed yet. But it was clear this was an old problem that had been 'fixed' a while ago. My slippers were wet after showering, and I tripped. If it had been an elderly person or a child, they could have easily hit their head on the counter – unimaginable. How can a hotel that can't even guarantee basic safety talk about hygiene or service?… Eventually, a manager came out to handle the situation. At first, it was the usual PR crisis management playbook, but after some back and forth, they finally showed some genuine effort.

Every time I come to Tianjin, I stay at The St. Regis; it's the best in every aspect. It was very late, but the bar on the first floor still stayed open for my family, which shows real dedication. We received a free room upgrade and a late check-out until 2 PM, which was very helpful.

Overall, it was okay, but the rooms and room service need improvement. I ordered a latte for 68 RMB, as pictured, and it was definitely not a normal coffee. It tasted like coffee powder mixed with watery milk, and there were even coffee grounds at the bottom, haha. It was absolutely wrong; are they trying to fool guests? The room service department even claimed that's how their coffee is made. Ridiculous. I returned it. Is this really a good St. Regis? The other picture shows a comparison with the breakfast coffee – the room service coffee was clearly a rip-off. There was also a hidden charge in the room: they put a small packet of nuts (which usually costs 3-5 RMB for a single serving) under the complimentary tea bags. There was no price list in the room, and after searching everywhere, I was charged 48 RMB at checkout. Isn't that a bit much? 😠 Breakfast had limited choices, and there was hardly any quality protein. There was no one to seat us either. This definitely doesn't feel like St. Regis quality.

The facilities are really old, but the exterior of the building has a lot of character. The parking lot is in bad shape, and the underground garage is very cramped. The front desk service was poor; the staff looked miserable the entire time and never smiled. Inside, the facilities are also very outdated, as you can tell from the pictures – seriously old equipment. Soundproofing is terrible, and the gym is poorly equipped. On the plus side, the overall architecture is unique, there's plenty of bottled water, and the location is quite good.

I highly recommend the St. Regis Tianjin Financial Street. My stay was absolutely superb, and I must particularly commend the staff member Aiden! Aiden was incredibly warm, attentive, and polite. Check-in was efficient and smooth, and she patiently and meticulously answered all my questions throughout the process. Any needs I had during my stay were promptly addressed. She was thoughtful and proactive, offering helpful tips for local attractions and transportation routes, consistently demonstrating a high level of professionalism. The hotel's location is excellent, the rooms are spacious and elegant, offering stunning views of the Hai River. The living environment is comfortable and tranquil, with comprehensive and well-maintained facilities. The St. Regis truly lives up to its reputation as a high-end luxury hotel; the attentive and meticulous service made me feel exceptionally comfortable and well-cared for. Thanks to Aiden's thoughtful service, this trip was incredibly smooth, and the experience was truly exceptional. The value for money is outstanding, and I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Tianjin. A big thank you once more to Aiden for her dedicated service. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to stay here!
