They're like an ambassador of the city – a good hotel makes you smile with gratitude when you close your eyes and recall your trip. The Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe is precisely one such hotel. Everyone we met was so warm, truly going above and beyond to surprise and delight us. 1️⃣ **Location:** The hotel is conveniently located near Ancient Culture Street, the Italian Style Area, Wanghailou Church, and Runzeyuan. It’s an easy 10-minute walk or a quick taxi ride (about 10-something RMB). 2️⃣ **View:** The river view rooms offer excellent vistas. At night, the neon lights on both sides of the Haihe River reflect beautifully, and boats glide across the water, creating a stunning scene. A heads-up: not all rooms have balconies with openable doors, so you might want to confirm this when booking. 3️⃣ **Room:** River view rooms start from 60 square meters and include a balcony. The first round of mini-bar drinks is complimentary. There’s a spacious sofa, perfectly comfortable for an extra person to sleep on. For just over 1,000 RMB a night, the value for money is excellent! 4️⃣ **Service:** Every single staff member at the Banyan Tree was polite, friendly, warm, and enthusiastic. When one of the sinks in our room was a bit clogged, they not only promptly fixed it but also sent a fruit platter as an apology. Mineral water was replenished very promptly; seeing that we were a larger group (3 adults and 1 child), they even left seven or eight bottles, making it convenient for the child. We brought a swimming ring but forgot the pump, and surprisingly, the pool area had one, which solved our problem! The hotel offers transfer services: a round trip from Tianjin Station to the hotel costs ¥80, and a one-way trip is ¥50. While slightly more expensive than a private car, the hotel uses large, clean, and comfortable business vans. Since we had a baby with us, the hotel graciously extended our check-out time. 5️⃣ **Facilities:** When traveling with children, besides choosing a five-star hotel, we typically look for rooms over 60 square meters and a kids' club. While the Banyan Tree's kids' club isn't huge and lacks toy cars, the upside is that it was empty! The benefit of traveling during off-peak times meant our child had the entire club to themselves.👏👏👏 The swimming pool area has two heated pools, which are more than enough for kids to play in, and the adult pool water was very clean. Ordering takeout was super easy, with a robot delivering food directly to the room. I must particularly commend the front door staff. Every time we took a taxi, they would open the car door, handle our luggage, fold the stroller – they did everything they could. We left something behind, and they brought it out to us on a luggage trolley, very professional. Although the room decor isn't brand new, overall, it's very clean, with an extra-large bathtub. They even provided multiple charging adapters, mosquito repellent, and corner protectors, showing great attention to detail. 6️⃣ **Features:** The hotel's main theme is Zen. There's a dedicated meditation space. I absolutely loved the hotel's signature fragrance – it smells very high-end, and the scent of the hand lotion lingered for a long time; I even wanted to buy a bottle to take home. ❇️ **Minor point:** If I had to find a fault, it would be that while the artwork in the rooms is Zen-inspired, the dark tones could be adjusted to create a warmer atmosphere. 💕 If you're visiting Tianjin with your little one, I highly recommend the Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe. It will definitely add an extra layer of joy to your wonderful memories! Grateful for the experience! ❤️

I visited Tianjin right before the May Day holiday, hoping to avoid the crowds, and chose the Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe. First off, its location is simply superb – a quiet oasis in a bustling city, with convenient transportation and stunning river views right along the Haihe. The hotel has a large, secure, and convenient above-ground parking lot. The Banyan Tree Tianjin Haihe is definitely one of the best hotels in Tianjin. The service from check-in to housekeeping was exceptional, with friendly and approachable staff. The welcome fruit was abundant and fresh. The room facilities were complete, clean, hygienic, and free of any odors. The hotel gym was simple yet practical. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. During the May Day holiday, the hotel also offered a BBQ seafood buffet on the first floor. As night fell, stepping out of the hotel, the magnificent night view of the Haihe River immediately greeted me. Strolling along the river, enjoying the breeze and chatting, created a wonderfully romantic and happy atmosphere. The hotel is very close to the 'Italian Style Street' (Italian Concession), making it easy to reach by foot or bicycle. For Western food, I recommend the French or Italian restaurants in the 'Italian Style Street'. For Chinese food, I suggest 'Zhenbao Tianjin Cuisine' near the hotel, especially their Eight Treasure Tofu, which is a must-try. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be that the mattress in the room was too soft and uncomfortable.

The Banyan Tree Hotel's location in Tianjin is absolutely unparalleled. It's called the Haihe Banyan Tree because it's right on the Haihe River, offering incredible river views from the windows – it's so relaxing and pleasant, truly giving you that vacation feeling. The breakfast at Banyan Tree is also one of the best among Tianjin's five-star hotels, easily outshining the Ritz-Carlton's. It's the only hotel that offers 'baipi' dim sum, 'shuli gao' (pear cake), and 'cha tang' (tea soup). While the Ritz-Carlton has the highest room rates in Tianjin, their breakfast is arguably the worst. I even witnessed a short chef at the Ritz-Carlton reach his bare hand directly into a bowl to scoop food for me, which was absolutely disgusting. In contrast, what truly left a wonderful impression on me at the Banyan Tree was a chef named Wu Qiang at the breakfast buffet. Mr. Wu Qiang was incredibly kind, approachable, and understanding, unlike some who are impatient, irritable, and don't even wear a mask. I believe if Wu Qiang isn't already a team leader, he absolutely deserves a promotion. He's responsible and dedicated, bringing a positive and warm work ethic to the team and adding significant value to the hotel. Employees like him should definitely be recognized and promoted. Moreover, Mr. Wu Qiang isn't just professional, dedicated, and polite; he's also tall and handsome! It's largely because of Mr. Wu Qiang that I developed such a positive impression of the Banyan Tree Hotel. Aside from Mr. Wu Qiang, the 'Fenghe Lvpai' photography team on the hotel's lower ground floor also left me with unforgettable and beautiful memories. The photographers were professional and patient, working tirelessly for the guests. The makeup artist was lovely, kind-hearted, polite, and enthusiastic. The receptionist who assisted us was also warm, generous, and straightforward. The entire team was incredibly comfortable and natural to interact with. Plus, being able to take photos within the hotel as a guest was easy, stress-free, and truly enhanced the vacation vibe. All in all, my stay at the Banyan Tree Hotel was exceptionally satisfying, thanks to the outstanding and moving service provided by their staff.

The hotel amenities are great, and the location is excellent. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a very comfortable stay and a wonderful time. My child absolutely loved the super large bathtub!

I'm always picky about hotels, especially regarding soundproofing, but Banyan Tree was absolutely flawless, from its location to the check-in process and the nearly silent rest throughout my stay. It was truly amazing! The staff were highly professional and friendly. The complimentary bottled water with a hanger when checking out was also a fantastic touch. A super five-star rating!!!

We brought our kids to Tianjin for Children's Day and stayed at this hotel. We chose it for its proximity to the Haihe River night view attractions and the ability to enjoy the night scenery. We also picked the established Banyan Tree brand for the kids' comfort. Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel seems to be a bit older, so the facilities aren't brand new, but they are acceptable, and the service was excellent – they were very responsive to our requests. The only downside is the poor soundproofing in the rooms. The housekeeping staff's cleaning schedule should be a bit later; we were woken up in the morning by the sounds of them cleaning other rooms and knocking on doors. It would be much better if room cleaning started a bit later.

The room was very large and spacious, and the service was excellent. The hotel has a gym and a swimming pool. Breakfast was plentiful, so much so that I didn't need lunch afterward. However, I do have one suggestion: the hook on the back of the bathroom door has a very sharp, right-angled edge that cut me several times. I hope the hotel can improve this.
