I booked this hotel for my parents so they could attend an event in Tianjin. It was a huge disappointment! First, I booked the room several days in advance. When we checked in, we were upgraded to an executive room. The front desk staff told us we could dine on the first floor or in the executive lounge. After their nap, my parents went to the first-floor café to ask if drinks were complimentary as part of the executive room service. The waiter replied, “Coffee is free, everything else costs extra.” My parents ordered two coffees, and after they finished, they were told the total was 120.00 yuan. To avoid spoiling everyone's mood, I paid. Secondly, when I accompanied them, I noticed there were no welcome fruits or welcome card. I thought maybe it was because of the last-minute room upgrade, and they hadn't had time. But when we returned from our errands in the afternoon, there still weren't any. I happened to see a staff member delivering welcome fruits to another room, so I asked, and the staff member said, “I don't know.” Later that evening, I encountered another staff member who said, “Let me ask.” So, around 9 PM, we finally received the welcome fruits. Furthermore, this was the first time I've stayed in an executive room at a hotel of this caliber that didn't offer turn-down service. Also, there were noticeable stains on the glasses in the room. The same applied in the executive lounge; you had to pick through the cups, and dirty dessert spoons were mixed in with clean ones. I mentioned it to a staff member, who smiled and replied, “Okay, please just pick out the clean ones for now.” The bedding felt like high-thread-count cotton, but the pillowcase seams were tattered and frayed. I'm not sure if these issues are because this hotel isn't the Ritz-Carlton international chain I thought it was, or if they 'discount' their service in various ways because I booked through a platform and didn't pay the full price. So many baffling bugs. Pros: The food was delicious, but I have concerns about the hygiene. All the staff members were cheerful, except for one chef in the executive lounge who always looked glum.

They still call to communicate the day before check-in. The success of a hotel really lies in the details, and this stay experience has significantly improved compared to last year. The lounge service, room cleanliness, and speed of telephone room service have all progressed. We also bought a pair of small lion figurines for charity. Overall experience is on par with the usual Ritz Carlton standards. What stood out for us was two things: firstly the nice courtyard room (unfortunately the cold weather prevent us from spending more time in the courtyard). Secondly the steak in the Charcoal Grill is probably the best we had in Tianjin. We will be back , if not for a longer stay ,at least for the steaks.

I had a wonderful experience staying at The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin. The hotel is truly elegant — from the beautiful European-style architecture to the luxurious, clean, and spacious rooms. The service was exceptional — staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel very well taken care of throughout my stay. Breakfast had a great selection, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The location is also very convenient, close to shopping streets and cafes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, class, and excellent service in Tianjin.

The only hotel with the best service and warmest welcome. Special mention to Megan who helps us with the check in and check out, making us feel at home and manager Freya luo who tried her best to assist me with **. Very thankful and happy with my stay here. After staying with a few 5 star hotels and comparing, Ritz is still unbeatable and my number 1 choice.

Booked as it I thought it was the best hotel in Tianjin - and got the terrace room and afternoon tea. Honestly the environment is nice, but perhaps unsurprisingly it isn’t up to the standard of other ritz properties. Breakfast was not good - despite being 2x the price of the 4 seasons, afternoon tea was very average (stale). Lots of little details missed (large sauna wasn’t very hot, the bidet in the Japanese toilet installed in the room didn’t work etc.) It’s not worth the significant mark up from the Tianjin 4 seasons and don’t think you’re getting a bargain price for a usual ritz level experience. Still compared to western hotels at the same price range, it’s nice (but you can get a much better deal in Tianjin)

As many others have noted, this is a beautiful and upscale hotel with all the makings of a super luxury luxurious stay. Unfortunately, my experience was completely ruined by relentless construction noise throughout the night. While the noise may be outside the hotel’s control, the fact that it wasn’t disclosed prior to booking is unacceptable. Guests have a right to know about major disruptions, especially when paying premium services and experience. Offering earplugs as a solution is frankly insulting. No one books a high-end hotel expecting to sleep with foam plugs in their ears while enduring the sounds of jackhammers at 2 a.m. At the very least, the hotel should have warned guests in advance and offered a discount. I would consider returning, but only after confirming there’s no construction. Otherwise, don’t expect a restful night—just a miserable one that happens night after night.

In my view, Ritz Tianjin is the branch with the highest service level. ( i visited Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing financial street and Beijing Huamao centre so far) 1. 3 days before arrival - The branch called me to confirm the number of visitors (couple + 7 month old); and the purpose of visit (wedding anniversary) 2. Upon arrival - We were greeted by friendly staffs whom helped us with our 3 luggages and they did it with a smile 3 Miss Freya Luo lead us to the check in and was explaining the restaurants and facilities of the branch 4. During stay, our garbage and room was cleaned up no less than 2 times a day (we only stayed 2 days) 5. Miss Freya, also helped us to arrange parcels (mainly infant diapers and napkins) to be sent to the hotel 6. The exterior of the hotel resembles a castle and its truly special The hotel is merely a room; the service provided by each of the staffs here makes this experience truly memorable Thanks again Freya!
