JI Hotel (Tianjin Binjiang Road Commercial Street)

Upon entering the room, I wanted a drink of water, only to find the bottle was already opened with some left over. For a 'deluxe king room,' I couldn't even see a window at first. It was a tiny, really hidden window, and once I found it, it was broken and wouldn't close. The floor was covered in hair, and there were several obvious red spots on the walls. The bathroom door also didn't close completely. The whole experience was truly terrible.

The service was exceptional, and the room was spotlessly clean and a decent size. When I checked in, there was a lot of noise from the shops outside, and I expected it to be loud at night, but to my surprise, it was incredibly quiet later on. The businesses in the back alley stopped their loud promotions quite early. On a hot summer day, lying in an air-conditioned room, watching TV, and smelling the unique calming scent of the Ji Hotel – I felt like I'd found a real gem! 😁

This hotel is really conveniently located. The pedestrian street and a mall are just 50 meters away, and the subway station is about 300 meters from the entrance. Taxis are also quite cheap, usually around ten-something yuan for a ride. The staff are pretty enthusiastic and offered some great food recommendations. We booked a business room, which was quite spacious, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was well-done. The only thing that needs improvement is the hairdryer – it's ancient! Replacing that old-fashioned hairdryer would make everything perfect. Food recommendations: Jinbao Tianjin Cuisine (the Italian Style Street branch, definitely don't go to other branches as their menu is incomplete, missing about two-thirds of the dishes!). The Xibeijiao morning market is also decent. As for Goubuli baozi, honestly, they're not good at all 😊

Traveling with kids was a breeze! The hotel's location is super convenient with plenty of food and shopping options right downstairs. They even offered an upgrade when rooms were available, which was a nice touch. The front desk and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless, and the surrounding buildings have a unique charm. Plus, it's really close to all the main attractions.

This is my favorite hotel in Tianjin; I've probably stayed here about 4 times now. The location is excellent, right on Binjiang Avenue, with all sorts of amenities nearby. You can order various bubble teas, and popular photo spots are within walking distance. What really stands out is the attentive service. If you arrive early, they check if early check-in is possible, and if not, they proactively help store your luggage. Any requests are quickly addressed, making for a very comfortable stay. Even though it was crowded and fully booked during the Dragon Boat Festival, they still managed to look after every guest's experience. It was great!

Traveling with a child, I booked this hotel because it's close to the Porcelain House. I didn't expect it to be such a great value – it's practically right in the scenic area! All the places I wanted to visit, like the Porcelain House, Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence, Jinwan Plaza, Century Clock, and Tianjin Eye Ferris Wheel, were all within a few hundred meters, easily walkable. Other attractions like the Italian Style Street and the double-decker sightseeing bus, plus the Tianjin Eye, were all around two kilometers away, super convenient. Excellent value for money! Downstairs, there are several shopping malls, like Hang Lung, and a snack street, so everything for eating, drinking, living, and shopping is easily accessible. If you're traveling with kids, this is the place to stay – it's so convenient!

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hotel is surrounded by all sorts of attractions. Honestly, it's great and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone! Plus, there are some classic and delicious eateries nearby; I had so many great meals in one day, absolutely delicious!

The location is excellent! It's a direct 30-minute ride on Metro Line 3 from Tianjin South Station, and the hotel is just a short walk from the subway exit, which is super convenient. There's a pedestrian street right downstairs with plenty of food options, and across the street is Tianjin's largest Starbucks. You can even walk to the Porcelain House from here. The room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was very clean and well-maintained – exactly what you'd expect from a chain hotel. The front desk service was fantastic. Sometimes, when they saw me with a lot of bags, they even helped me carry my suitcase downstairs. Much appreciated!
