Meg Mercure Hotel (Tianshui City Center Square)

My stay at the Mercure Hotel was absolutely perfect! From arrival to departure, I was surrounded by meticulous care every moment! The receptionist was both gentle and efficient. After I mistakenly booked the wrong room type, she not only upgraded me to a spacious twin room free of charge but also proactively helped me carry my heavy luggage to the room. The candies in the lobby were a delight for my child. The room was impeccably clean; the space was bright and airy, the sheets and duvet covers were spotless and soft to the touch, and even the corners of the pillows and under the bed were spotless. The bathroom featured a thoughtful wet and dry separation design; the countertops and mirrors were sparkling clean, the drain was spotless and odorless, and the brand-name toiletries were of high quality. The hotel's convenient location in the city center with free parking made getting around and parking incredibly easy. With such a balance of cleanliness and service, I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

I highly recommend the Mercure Tianshui Hotel! My stay was fantastic, especially the receptionist – her service was incredibly warm and thoughtful. Because I was tired from my journey, I ordered takeout upon arrival. I thought I'd have to go downstairs to pick it up myself, but the receptionist proactively offered to deliver it to my room. She even carefully checked the order information to avoid any mistakes. When the takeout arrived, she gently carried it to my door, offering a smile throughout, making me feel incredibly welcome and at home. The hotel's location is superb, close to a transportation hub, making it convenient to take taxis or public transport. It's also close to several attractions and shopping areas, so you don't have to travel far for sightseeing or shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors, and the hygiene details were impeccable. The mattress was the perfect firmness, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The facilities were also more than adequate, with excellent air conditioning, stable internet, and complete toiletries. With such a great location, attentive service, and reasonable price, the value for money is truly unbeatable. This stay was a fantastic experience. I've already added the hotel to my favorites, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Tianshui!

There were cockroaches on the bed, and the bathroom reeked. The shower area wasn't separated into wet and dry sections. The bathroom floor was severely flooded.

The soundproofing is ridiculously bad!!! You can hear everything outside—chatting, snoring, walking—and even the content of their conversations!

I can only say that calling this the worst hotel in Tianshui is an understatement; it's worse than a small inn in my village. I've been here for over a month, and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Its only advantage is its proximity to Lantian Hotel and the availability of parking. I don't know where those positive reviews came from; I'm just incredibly annoyed. First, the soundproofing is terrible. People talking in the next room are as clear as if they were talking right in front of me. The rooms are separated only by a wooden board, so you can hear everything clearly, from the first floor to the second floor's hallway footsteps. Second, the cleanliness is awful. The towels are so black they're unusable, and the bathroom is all yellow. Third, the air conditioner is louder than a tractor in my village. I don't dare turn it on at night. Fourth, the bathroom heater is beyond ridiculous. It can't be fixed in place; you have to hold it while washing. What's most infuriating is that when I immediately contacted the front desk to ask for a quieter room, they told me it's all the same everywhere, all have this kind of structure, and that I should wear earplugs to sleep so it wouldn't be noisy.

The apartment was dark and damp, the blankets were damp, there was no air conditioning, and I almost froze to death last night because it rained. The hot water in the bathroom was weak. The only redeeming quality was that the receptionist was quite pretty, especially number 05.
