Tiantai He Hotel

Choosing the He Hotel in Tiantai Mountain was the best decision we ever made. Our room was very spacious; the four of us could sit and chat over tea in a very comfortable and spacious room. The hotel restaurant's breakfast was relatively simple, but the wontons and bamboo shoot pancakes/shopping cakes were highlights. Lunch and dinner featured a variety of excellent dishes, especially the pan-fried ribbonfish and black tofu, which we ordered more than once. Although the hotel isn't large, the path from the lobby to our rooms was thoughtfully lined with various red plants and flowers in season, which was very pleasing to the eye. We even saw a chef picking small red beans; we thought she was going to arrange them for flowers, but it turned out she was preparing the dinner plating! 👍 What was most heartwarming was the hotel's service. Whether we needed bottled water, wine glasses, or asked a staff member to close the window in our room, they were always there promptly. Every hotel staff member we encountered had a smile on their face. Every time we entered or left the hotel, the lobby staff would greet us warmly, making us feel like we were back home!

The hotel facilities are nice, with a touch of understated luxury. It's exceptionally quiet, like a secluded paradise. The hotel's entertainment facilities are also good; I especially loved the pool table. The movie theater was quite nice too, though the sofas seemed a bit old. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, with a set meal per person, and you could ask for more if you wanted. The mix of meat and vegetables was good. 🙂 However, it wasn't very crowded, making it a good place to relax and unwind.

The room was large and clean, very close to attractions, and had excellent soundproofing.

The location is good, close to the parking lot of Tiantai Mountain Visitor Center, and it is not far to walk to Guoqing Temple. There are parking spaces at the entrance of the hotel. The internal environment is also good, but the details need to be improved. There is a door in the room that looks like a cabinet. When you open it, there is a wood board with a few holes. If you don't make a cabinet, at least it should be sealed. The hotel has its own catering. I had two dinners. The tofu made by the hotel itself is delicious. I recommend it. The other dishes are just average, but the price of the food is not expensive for a hotel of this level. The service needs to be improved. The front desk is quite polite, and there are souvenirs when you leave. However, I wanted two bottles of water on the first night. The room phone called the front desk but no one answered. I called the front desk phone given by Ctrip on my mobile phone to get through. We stayed for two consecutive days, but the slippers and other supplies were not replaced on the second day, so we could only use the ones on the first day. This is a bit unexpected. I have stayed in so many hotels and homestays, but this is the first time I have encountered this.
