"I'd had this hotel saved in my favorites list for a while, and finally decided to check it out on the weekend. I'm not sure if I should recommend it or not, but the kids had a great time, while the parents' experience wasn't so great.
Pros:
1. A huge sandpit, about the size of a football field! It had tents, slides, climbing walls, trampolines, zip lines, etc., and more than half the area was still empty. I'd suggest adding sandboarding facilities; that would be perfect. The sand was much better quality than what you get in playgrounds and parks, perfect for preschoolers. My 5-year-old had a blast! There was also a separate beach volleyball court, so you can bring a ball.
2. The sand art activity was great; I recommend participating.
3. The football-themed room was unique, and the hot spring in the courtyard was very relaxing. The shower room had separate shower heads for adults and children, which was a plus.
4. I added the front desk on WeChat upon check-in, and they notified me of events via WeChat. The service was excellent.
Cons:
1. The entire hotel felt dilapidated and run-down; the soccer room smelled musty, which would probably be even worse in summer; the tatami mats were just mats on the floor and were incredibly dirty; the room doors had transparent glass, so it was very bright early in the morning, waking me up. I suggest adding frosted paper instead of letting so much light through.
2. The crab catching and sachet-making activities were rather perfunctory; apart from the sand painting, there weren't many other activities, making it rather monotonous and boring.
3. Online reviews mentioned evening concerts and barbecues, but these weren't available when we went on the weekend of November 1st; the breakfast was terrible, unacceptable for a room costing over 600 yuan a night; the hotel didn't offer any other food options, but we managed to eat out after walking a short distance across a traffic light."
