Holiday Inn Express & Suites DAYTON NORTH - TIPP CITY by IHG

Horrible experience! We arrived at the hotel around 11 pm with our kids, after a long drive to find out that they overbooked the double rooms and they don't have one for us after our booking was confirmed. They offered a king bed with a pull out couch. Not what we paid for. There was a group of 10 people arriving moments before us, and it looks like they went with a better deal for the hotel - 5 rooms vs one. Very unethical behavior on behalf of the hotel. Every experience we have had at Holiday Inn has been a bad one, will not be staying in these hotels anymore.

Staff was amazing both at check in and check out. Comfortable beds and pillows. Spacious rooms. Excellent hot breakfast. Plenty of parking. The property was in the midst of being refreshed, but it really didn’t influence our stay in anyway. You can see where portions of the property are a bit tired but I expect that will have changed when their updates are complete. How are you for example included a mix of very new modern furniture, with outdated, but still clean and functional fixtures, which I expect will be updated soon. Overall, I would say this property exceeded my expectations.

Decent breakfast selection and the staff was very nice. Some remodeling going on so not the cleanest in the lobby area but it makes sense since they are remodeling. There was a mildew buildup in our bath tub but aside from that everything was clean and if that issue were to be fixed I would come back again.

The hotel is under renovation !! We had to move from our original room with TV not working. Nice otherwise.

I have no issues with stay, but they charged amenity fee as $5 per night, which was not expected. I tried to reach Manager but could not reach her about this fee.

The property charges a required ‘amenity’ fee that is not disclosed when making a reservation. It covers such things as the free breakfast and free parking and its average pool and average fitness room. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Refrigerator was noisy but it can be unplugged. Room was missing a couch or comfy seating but there was plenty of room for it. Breakfast was decent. Staff very pleasant.

Very clean, comfortable beds! Breakfast was pretty good in comparison to other hotels. Juice wasn’t stocked for breakfast, and pancake machine out of order but still enough other options.

Clean room, friendly staff, decent breakfast. 17 min to action sports center. Pretty good.
