For many years I have been travelling for business and privately. More and more I am moving away from the luxurious, but less personal four- and five star hotels exchanging them for smaller and more personal hotels and apartements. I liked Villa Noem. Only eight rooms on two floors. The room was small, but very clean and had a very comfortable bed. The staircase is very narrow though, not very suitable for people with mobility issues or people who like to travel with large items of luggage. But I was only travelling with a small cabin bag. A good and dependable shower. A fridge (empty upon arrival) is provided for storing drinks and food. There was a balcony, but since I only used the room to sleep and shower, I did not use it. In the morning there was orange juice at the reception. It is only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main square. And there are lots of restaurants in the area to choice from. I liked the fish restaurant (Aloha Fish) next door. The price was a little higher than other appartement in the area, but worth it. The only downside to the room at the front at the roadside is the noise. They are not at a busy street, but the street is narrow and Albanian drivers like to use their claxon, even at night. I could not leave the door to the balcony open at night. And even with them closed, I sometimes heard noise from the outside or the inside from other guests. But buying a couple of cheap earplugs solved that. The Wi-Fi signal is excellent, so it was very easy to keep in touch with the office. The reception is unoccopied most of the day. But when I had a question, I only had to send an App and the reply usually came within the hour. Together with the very friendly ladies cleaning the rooms, I was satisfied with the service. And also with the location, accommodation and price. To be recommended for both a business or private trip.
