Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Toba Saichoraku（Old:Yukai Resort Ise Shima Toba Saichoraku〈Premium〉）

When my kids were little, we used Yukai Resort frequently. This was our first time staying at a Premium location. I thought 'Premium' meant an upgrade, and with it being Silver Week, the price certainly was an upgrade – on par with a four-star hotel! However, the reality was a downgrade, not an upgrade. While the room was cleaner than before, the food was a huge disappointment. There were hardly any homemade dishes; it felt like they were serving items from a wholesale supermarket. It was truly awful! The only exception was the croissant at breakfast, which was consistently delicious. Despite a major renovation, the building felt dusty, and the facilities were poor. The toilet in our room, especially, struggled to flush, making us nervous every time. Even my usually easygoing husband blurted out, 'Just being here is stressful' in the morning. As before, there were many Japanese families with children. The staff were all Japanese, polite, and smiled during service.

I wish they'd offer unlimited alcohol during dinner. I also wish the food was a bit better. Was it a little disappointing?

This is my third time staying here. My kids love the infinity bath and foot bath, so we use them. The welcome drink is also a nice touch. This time, we had a room with a view of the sunrise, which was really beautiful.

I missed the last shuttle bus, so I took a taxi. I wish there was another bus a little later in the day. The lounge was very nice. I would like to use it again when traveling to other prefectures.

The room layout was terrible. The door was too narrow for two adults to get in and out. The boiler was too noisy. The elevator was too crowded to get on.

I used to repeatedly visit resorts like Yukai Resort Gero and Enakyo, but the quality of service is proportional to the price. Last year, I stayed at a long-established hotel in Gero Onsen for ¥40,000 per person, and the service was indeed commensurate with the price. I'll leave the choice of cheap and low-quality to you.

The staff were very friendly, and I was satisfied with the food and the room. The only thing that bothers me is that the elevators are a little slow because the building is a little old. I would definitely use this hotel again.

It was helpful that they provided a trash can for diapers. It was a bit of a problem that there was no comb in the room amenities. The ball pool wasn't very big, but we had fun playing in it.
